Rinoa is the secret daughter of Barbar Osha, whose existence was hidden from the rest of the Osha Family in order to ensure her safety. Barbar knowing fullwell just what lengths his brother, Sera Osha would go to in order to destroy him. Tragically however, it wasn't even Sera who eventually ended Barbars life, but Merciless Oritolon troops who cut him down after suffering a wound during a duel with their leader, Loki. It all proved too much for Rinoa to take in and she decided to flee to Atamara to meet up with her Uncle, Baron Malice, in the Ash Sea Islands.
Once Rinoa finally arrived in Ser'quea, Capital of the Ash Sea Islands, she sought an audience with Malice immediately to break the news to him that Barbar had fallen in Battle. Little did she know however, that Malice had no idea of her existence which made organising a meeting difficult. Eventually though, Rinoa succeeded and in the Taran's Head Inn, she told Malice all that had happened. Although Malice was grateful for what she had told him, he refused to take her under his wing, disillusioned over Barbars secrecy about Rinoa. It was this cruel rebuff from her Uncle that eventually forced Rinoa to confront her demons and reluctantly, she boarded a ship home for Alowca.
Upon Rinoa's return to Alowca she found herself filled with a renewed vigour to fight against the heathens that killed her father, and in a reward for her zealousness she was quickly returned the Barony of Irdalni - previously held by Barbar - in recognition of her talents. All this did not last however, as Rinoa became increasingly disillusioned with what she perceived as the Silence of the Deities. This was all due to the numerous losses inflicted upon Alowca by ill-educated Heathens. Eventually Rinoa became so disenchanted with it all, that she pilfered the coffers of the Denariel's Mace and took a boat out to Beluaterra where she eventually landed in Latlan, Capital of Vice.
Once in Vice, Rinoa felt like an immense weight had been lifted from her shoulders, with none of the smog of the Trinity affecting her actions anymore. In her short time in Vice, Rinoa became increasingly fond of the Fine Wines and Ales on offer in taverns across the realm. She was even elected as Supreme Judge mere weeks after first landing on Latlan's shore. Though soon the realm of Vice merged with the realm of Varyamo Nolvo to ensure the survival of both realms in future years. In the transition, Rinoa became a High Priestess of the faith of Hedonism - the religion of Vice - and did much to spread it's message across the lands of Varyamo Nolvo. Even that did not last long however and Rinoa eventually announced that she was taking a ship to the South-East Island to pursue a career of War. However she never arrived in the South-East and frankly, no-one in Latlan could recall her even boarding a ship in the first place. She'd just disappeared...
