Pedrera turns to anarchy! 11 March 1013 Pedrera the northern most region of Nivemus and gateway to the city of Oroya has rebelled against Nivemus and turned rogue. Since we last mentioned them the Perdan's Murderous Wrath army has been looting the north virtually unopposed until yesterday when the Army of Nivemus having recruited a new army moved to engage them in battle. The PMW then took the sea route out of Juazeiro which has also undergone heavy looting reducing the population from some 12,000 to 8000. If Juazeiro were to rebel as well then Oroya would be cut off from the rest of the realm. When the AoN moved into Juazeiro Westmoor here was quick to take advantage of the situation in the south and invaded Oberndorf where the Westmoorian Bulwark has been pillaging sinse yesterday. Production and Morale in Oberdorf are already described as "Stoic" by various scribes. The AoN will now have a difficult choice of either defending the north or the south. Both the PMW and WB+RG are both still mobile and able to continue looting depending on which army the AoN decides to face. I do believe we here at New Westmoor never explained what happened to the Westmoorian Column. For various reasons it had to be replaced one of which being that it's sponsor Maedros Iltaran became extremely ill and has retired from Westmoor's duties many months ago. So fair readers get used to me describing Westmoor's main army as the WB instead of the WC. The Royal Guard remains as it was before which this paper's editor has now become a member. Just an update the PMW has now arrived and joined with the WB and RG in Oberndorf where we charged on the resisting peasant force of some thousand together.  Defeat in Oberndorf! 5 March 1013 After a massive battle involving forces from Sirion, Nivemus, Armonia, Westmoor and Perdan it was Sirion and Nivemus that stood victor upon the battle. It is suspected that Sirion outsmarted the allies by modifying their equipment to make them look less strong than they really were in scout reports. With their crucial victory the Sirrionites now control the field giving them the decision of either staying put, advancing on Bruck or chasing the PMW up north in Juazeiro. From Westmoor Cassandra Foxglove was taken prisoner.  Victory for the PMW in Juazeiro! 3 March 1013 The Army of Nivemus marched into Juazeiro today in an attempt to move the apparently retreating PMW (Perdan's Murderous Wrath/elite army) out of Juazeiro. Instead of retreating however the PMW stood and fought at full strength in a battle that went decidedly in favour for Perdan. Apart from the overwhelming numbers as anyone can work out a large factor that helped out was the composition of the armies and the windy weather which made the arrows of archers almost useless. The PMW had at this time no archers to speak of which gave them a clear advantage while the AoN had a large number of archers. Cornel Brotacel the earl of salta was wounded during the battle. In other news Malo Darkhouse was executed for the second time today. This time a few regions away in the city of Ashforth. We will see if he manages to get back up a second time. For those not familiar with this story refer to Archives February 4th of last month. Presumably Nivemus was also not willing to tolerate a believer in the church of Ibladesh. Word just in there has been a second battle in Juazeiro. Showing considerable disorganization the Army of Nivemus sent in a second force in a desperate attempt to remove the PMW from the region. These were possibly stragglers who didn't join the first battle. Again out numbered considerably and with 913CS of undead choosing to fight against the AoN another victory was achieved by Perdan. Had the AoN fought the PMW as one force they would have faired much better. As it is the AoN will now almost certainly have to refit in Ashforth. Strong winds again hampered Nivemus' some 130 archers. This was a good day for the PMW on the field of battle.  Armies from three realms gather in Bruck 2 March 1013 Our reporting of certain aspects of this war will of course be limited mainly due to the unfortunate fact that people occasionally read this newspaper. Things have been quiet in ways of conflict recently with both sides of the war (including those who haven't declared war) mobilizing on the borders. Already in Bruck are forces from Westmoor Perdan and Armonia. Of considerable note is the sizes of each unit we are seeing in this war. Large numbers of nobles are easily recruiting over 100 men in all three realms in Bruck. It is worth giving a nod of approval to Edward Anthony Mercer and Armstrong Ironsides who managed to recruit almost 500 men between them. In response to a comment by sir Cross Thunderstrike that we should be prepared for battle Furious Bendix a relation of the queen of Armonia replied: We just marched 500 miles to fight in a battle; believe me, we're prepared for it. Tonight, we will drink and feast for the honor of us who live to stare death in the face. Tomorrow, we shall make death flinch! A similar number of troops stands on the opposite border in Oberndorf who have recently been digging in to fortify their position. Morale is high down here in Bruck and the troops seem ready for war.
