Rognak Dakka hails from the frigid wastelands of Norland. Rognak is like most vikings, hairy, smelly, and a psychotic killer. He is on the whole, dim-witted and and hard to understand but whenever he is thrown into a fight (either from too much drink or being dragged into the thick of it by his men) he shows exceptional fighting skill. Rognak frequently brags about his "war victories" in bars and to anyone that can't get away. Occasionally he even tells one that's true.
Rognak leads the ----[]- Ice N Snow Kommandoes, a group of semi-elite warriors. Casualties are high among this unit and with Rognak's taste for expensive armor and weapons their numbers rarely rise above 20 men. How ever as part of the Army of Heimdal's Horn Rognak and his men have seen many a battle against Minas Ithil and occasionally their vile allies Cagilan Empire and Talerium, winning all but a very few of them. Recently they've been allowed to practiced their looting skills on Cheltenbourne and Lyton along with their army lining their pockets with gold while collecting souvenirs from the peasant militia.
Recently Rognak has been allowed to join Norland's Military high command and participated in the planning of the successful campaign to retake Elost. While recovering from a wound received in the campaign that had also cost the life of Rognak's friend and liege Count Griffin of Shiverwood, Rognak decided to restart Norland's national newspaper the Asgard Informer in order to give Norland's side of the war.
Recently Rognak was elected lord of Ashmoor. He quickly went about bungling the job and accidently joining the duchy of Icegate in an accident he blamed on his scribes.
Rognak then rejoined Norland and fought in the battles to retake Elost. After the war's end Rognak resigned his lordship and went off to learn the secrets of the yetis. Upon Phillip Lacoste's election to Konungr Rognak was appointed Baron of Moramroth and became the new Prince of the Yetis.
A few months after his appointment Rognak found an empty mansion and quickly moved his family to the region of Moramroth where the Askari family could live in the same realm as one of its noble sons for the first time in years.
Konungr
After Phillip Lacoste renewed the war with Minas Ithil, he was seriously wounded in the first bungled battles of the war while fighting in Cheltenbourne. Rognak was quickly elected Konungr in his absence and lead the forces of Norland and the Barony across the river to attack Winwich and win the first battles of the war and succeded in driving Winwich rogue. Realizing the failures of the early strategy, Rognak argued for the Northern Federation to focus its forces on a foothold in Winwich and then expanding instead of splitting their forces and attacking from Elost and Mansbridge as they had done in the beginning. This strategy quickly proved successful and Norland was able to capture Winwich in only two days.
Thane Jarl and Baron Again
Unfortunately Rognak failed to get re-elected and found himself a knight once again. This didn't last long though as a suicidal attack left most of Norland's military leaders in prison and him as the only option for Thane Jarl. Rognak quickly set about rebuilding Norland's army and rethinking the northern federation's startegy in the war, choosing to avoid an unproductive tug-of-war over winwich and strike deep into Minas Ithil's heartland instead.
Northern Civil War
Just as the war with Minas Ithil was starting to turn to Norland's favor, the unthinkable happened. Eston and the Barony of Makar left the northern federation and declared war on their former ally. Rognak swore to gain revenge for the treachery as he was forced to order the armies of Norland to abandon the Ithilian campaign and rush to defend Barad Riel from a joint Eston/Darkan attack.
