Though the histories may show that our family line "began" with the Knighthood of Francesco Venezia in the city of Giask, in actuality it started in the lost continent of Atamara, founded by a simple fisherman known as Giacomo. His story, much like many in the Era of Heroes, began with a gift sent by the Gods.

Though the histories may show that our family line "began" with the Knighthood of Francesco Venezia in the city of Giask, in actuality it started on an island near the City of the Golden Farrow, our name blessed by the Gods of Sea and Sky themselves as a reward for the actions of our ancestor, Giacomo the Just.  
  
As he returned from sea, he came across a young sea lion that trapped with the reeds, crying out as it struggled against the tightening grass. Giacomo, out of pity, comes to the creatures aid and cuts away the reeds, pulling the creature up from the debris. The lion dances free through the water in joy, and as a token of gratitude gives Giacomo a warning of things to come. The Gods Titan, angered by the arrogance of the realms of Atamara, have decided to send the continent beneath the waves. Giacomo, giving the lion a fish as thanks, gathers what possessions he has and immediately sets out to the wide ocean expanse, the storms slowing gathering as he sailed away.
