Xaphan is better known as the balding , eccentric squirrel duke of Toren stronghold . Xaphan Brought about a new breed of squirrels to SWI (South-West Island) Which quickly lead to the creation of Utopian Goverment and nation in Bieth After Amadeus' disapearence . But thankfully with the help of Diodorus and a long battle , the squirrels where subdued and Diodorus was placed as the Dictator of Bieth . Xaphan was deported to the south-west by Ceolwyn after he lead a hastily organised rebellion in Principality of Zonasa , Ever since he has been in Ikalak he has become Duke , Paladin Primus and hero. Xaphan used to work closely Diodorus before he emmigrated to Atamara to hone his infiltrating skills.

Xaphan enjoys being cruel and brutal due to his worship of Nergal , Lehru and Nehru . He is a squirrel and because of that he ahs brought squirrels into the military caste of Ikalak . He always leads a unit of squirrels and has turn Toren Stronghold into a recruitment centre for promising squirrels.

Xaphan is also famous for his invention of the use of flame retardent squirrels as flaming projectiles for captapults , trebuchets and bows . Squirrels have effectively become something of a mascot / national animal of Ikalak.
