The unedited story....

The Lisieux family originated in France in the mid-1300s. The first patriarch was Louis Lisieux, a local merchant, selling woodwork. His stock grew in quantity and quality, and he became more famous. Soon he was traveling all over the Atlantic. On one of his journeys, Louis landed on the island of Arcaea in the Far East. It was a new land, but he did not let this intimidate him. While in Saex by the coast, selling his goods, he met a young woman from Nocaneb. For Louis and Marie, it was love at first sight. He returned to Nocaneb with her, where he met his beautiful lover's parents. They were thrilled at his French heritage, for French blood was once in their blood as well. Within a fortnight Louis and Marie were happily married.

They had six children: 4 boys and 2 girls. Through each generation, at least one Lisieux child would attempt to rise above the common people and become a noble, or an even more powerful person. Despite these ambitions, the Lisieux family was simply a background picture, filling up negative space. That is, that's what they were until Talkae Lisieux and Clarice Ankmara came along.

Talkae Lisieux was on the border of "noble" status. Where he actually stood in society's rankings was undefined.
