Silence hung in the air, heavy and thick. Jobe pushed his way through the stagnant marsh knowing that to pause for even a brief rest could mean the very end. He continued, grim determination etched across his worried face. For this was what men were made of - this was what Jobe was made of. |

Jobe (younger brother of Evangeline and Danzi) grew up surrounded by strong women.
