"If you'll excuse me, I need to see to my liege's horses," said the squire, trying to push past the lady-in-waiting.

Cassie blocked his way. "Uhm, I'm sorry, but my lady is in there," she explained. "She doesn't like to be disturbed when she's being mounted..er, mounting...I mean, attending her mount." She blushed deeply.

The sound of giggling came from within the stable. The squire, mouth hanging open, craned his neck to look. Cassie did her best to block his view.

The man's jaw dropped further a short while later as a young stable boy emerged from the doorway, shirttails hanging out and bits of straw in his hair.

"Perhaps...perhaps Your Lady requires some time to see to her...personal matters," the squire stammered, and wandered off mumbling to himself.
