The Khthonian Chronicle/June Issue

June 6, 2007 - Invasion

My Khthonian brethren the time of the Invasion is upon us. Now is the time to test our realms resolve. We are a realm united with a single goal to destroy unholy undead and the villainous monsters where ever they may lie. And we will show the world that we can stay true to our purpose. With brave men and stout hearts we will crush these vermin and push them back into the depths where they came.

Now is the time to cease hostilities with our human brothers and unite under one banner to save ourselves and the world which we so love and treasure. Now is the time to show these beast what mankind is truly made of that we will not go down without a fight nor quiver in fear in a dark corner. No we will meet them in the fields, in the mountains or the woods or even the dry badlands. We will not stop until they are utterly destroyed and man is again free to roam the world of Beluaterra once more.

We are the true race not them. They are soulless killers, bent only on our extinction and our enslavement. People of Khthon, our allies and even our enemies, we must stand together now and face our true calling. To defend these lands that our rightfully ours, to prove that they are rightfully ours and to ensure that there will be freedom for future generations to come and will not have to be slaves to darkness EVER!!!

June 12, 2007 - New General and Chancellor

After the sudden and strange disappearance of our Chancellor/General Tritheron, elections were held to find successors. As the polls closed it is now with absolute certainty that our new general is Vyacheslav and our new chancellor is Fura. Will these new members to the Council bring victory over the undead horde that is soon to come. Only time will tell.

June 24, 2007 - Our Vlaanderan Allies

Well it seems now that our esteemed ally Valhalla is causing a bit of ruckus with the monsters and undead. He has in fact allied himself with these foul creatures, something that I as a hero and a member of Khthon feel to be a slap in the face to everything we hold dear as a realm. If this is the thanks we receive for bailing them out of this war with Plergoth then I say that when the invasion is over that we do not renew hostilities with Plergoth and let Vlaanderan fight it alone and see how well they can do without us there to save them again and again.

June 25, 2007 - Alliance of Man in Tatters?

The first departure of the Human alliance has begun. Avalon has abandoned all hope and reason in the hopes of getting riches and power by allying with the undead. Their reason's were and I quote:

"The line of thought of Khthon is diffirent than that of Avalon. You are an enemy with all 3 invaders, while Avalons holds a somewhat lvl of cooperation with the undead. They have aided us and we have aided them. Their words have been found truthfull. Khthon refuses to see the need to pick a side. And i'm afraid Khthon is so marked for destruction. If you have all 3 as an enemy, atleast one will be able to defeat you. By siding with one you improve your odds."

Forgive me if i seem to scoff Avalon, but I thought the whole purpose of having the human realm ally with one another was to fight this invasion off. How many more will join Avalon and betray humanity for personal gain. I'm proud to say the Khthon will not make any alliance with any unholy creature and if we must be destroyed in this endea then so be it. There's more honour in dying in a hopeless cause with your principles intact then winning by backstabbing your friends. Khthon will fight all three beastly races until they or we are no more. That is our way that is our life. Khthonians don't retreat and we don't surrender and I am proud to be a member of this true realm.

June 27, 2007 - Invasion Imminent!!!

It would seem that this Sunday legions of undead will rise to fight the monsters and daimon that are roaming the lands. The undead have stated that all those no allied with them will face destruction and raids. Also a special hit has been placed on Valhalla and the realm of Vlaanderan for his actions, trying to deceive the undead leadership. Despite this threat our Lord Chancellor Fura sent this message to the undead leader Sarge:

"Khthon wants you defeated, but we also want the monsters and daimons defeated. We will engage anyone that enters our lands.

Knowing that about Khthon, and knowing your own goals for self-preservation, I recommend you stay away from our lands, lest your eternal existence be forfeit.

We are all enemies, yet you are the enemy of our enemies. I hope you can see that you have no reason to harm the people of Khthon. Fight the daimons and monsters on other lands, and we'll fight them within Khthon. That's as close to an arrangement as you'll get from us."

Sarge quickly responded:

"We have detailed records about you and your realm, Fura, you need not fear us. Your song has been the same since day one, and for that, we respect you.

However, your realm will perish, but at least...you will die as warriors, selfish at any rate, but as true Humans committed to their own philosophy of what is ultimately: Right.

We will try to avoid your lands, but we may enter them briefly to pass, and loot briefly to gather supplies. We will not attack your base of operations (capital) or major gold producing regions. Be strong, and die with your honor.

It has been a pleasure."

So we may only face small raids from the undead but chances are we will be seeing many monsters and daimons attempt to sack our capital. And there we will wait for them to come and with all our strength we will push them back to the edge of oblivion. For we are Khthonians enemies and destroyers of all unholy creatures and we will submit to none. We in Khthon will either live free or die free but in the end WE WILL ALWAYS BE FREE!

June 28, 2007 - Elections are Here

AT this point in time for the elections in Khthon it appears that the candidates for Minister of Defence is Jenny. The candidate for Minister of Finance is Louis Joseph and myself for Minister of Justice. No word on who is running for leadership or if any of the incumbents are running for re-election.

Update: June 29, 2007 - Fura will be running for re-election as ruler.
