Issue No.4 Late October 2005

Torn to Pieces: A Dismembered Oligarch

Sirion and Fontan collaboratively launched a massive military assault against Oligarch later this month, quashing down the local defenses and initiating takeovers in the regions of Oberndorf and Commonyr simultaneously, while the Oligarchians were busying with regaining their control in Westmoor City, once the capital of Coimbraheim and declared rogue soon after the realm's miraculous disappearance. A third TO attempt was at first arranged for Greatbridge, but was postponed for the moment due to General Lord of Blood "pushed the wrong button". With Hagley still uncontrolled and Morshes severed however, it is expected that soon the east flank of Oligarch will be disintegrated, leaving its capital exposed and the realm itself collapsing into small pieces.

UPDATE: With the successful conversions of Oberndorf and Commonyr, and the third TO plan finally starts running in Greatbridge, talks about a new realm that can truely represent itself as the successor of Coimbra be established upon the ashes of Oligarch has already become one of the most popular topics among the nobles of Fontan. And that seems to be not very far from happening by now.

Heaven is Near: Rancagua's Armageddon Approaching

Local government of Poitiers announced on 18th that it has decided to cease its compliance with the discipline of Church of Rancagua and sworn allegiance to Perdan. This leaves Rancagua with only its own capital Kazakh, surrounded by Old Rancagua from all sides. The defection is not a particular surprising one however, since the region has been disconnected from its former capital for weeks after Old Rancagua took over Gadlock. The people of Rancagua could now only pray to their own God, hoping they have not yet been abandoned, or it is likely they will face their Final Judgment in no time soon.

Outrageous! Wrath of Titans Swept Over Fontan

The noble realm of Fontan was shrouded in low atmosphere after a series of evil, filthy curses were added upon some of the realm's greatest figures by the Wrath of the Titans, making them incapable of duties. The victims included: Sikander, Duke of Krimml; Amanda, Supreme Judge of Fontan; Lord of Blood, Minister of Defense of Fontan. The Titans curst the realm for being unfriendly to strangers, and it was upon an oath Chancellor zedd had with the Titans did he save himself from the dire fate of being cursed also. However irrevocable damages have been made. Not only the Oligarchians got the chance to retake Commonyr, but the reverend veteran Sikander has also left the earth for good. The Fontanese Digest may his soul rest in heavenly peace, and wishes this heinous debt could be repaid one day.

Unexpected Faces: Ubentians in Dulbin

A seemingly normal mission of expelling Oligarchian looters turned out to be Fontan's first contact with the Ubent under SA's control, when the forces in charge of the mission got ambushed in Morshes. The Ubentian troops, accompanied by Oligarchians, later moved on into Dulbin, and began robbing the locals. "Ubent is now a puppet realm receiving direct orders from the Dictator of Orcligarch," commented Lady Lilith, Countess of Dulbin. "They just tromped into my place and started killing people. This is an obvious war declaration." The Council of Fontan has yet to decide whether a declaration of war on Ubent shall be made, since it will surely cause great disturbance in the diplomatic relation with Caligus, but the show up of Ubentians in the war against Oligarch has definitely added more uncertainties to the situation.
