Saul was the firstborn twin to his parents Devan and Airianne, who were at that time Lord and Lady of the village. Saul’s parents found little time to care for him due to the demands of the day today running of the village. It was such that the only real companion he had his whole life was his twin, Garro.
Saul Tarvitz was brought over to the continent of Dwilight from unknown origins; even he himself cannot remember the name of the place from which they came, only that they came to a place called Nid Tek. Upon first arriving in Nid Tek, his family gained an estate in Nid Tek and then soon after set off for the local blacksmith and stable master in order to commission weapons, armour and a horse for Saul. After procuring the relevant supplies and equipment, Saul set off from his estate towards the local lords manor; the manor of Count Ramiel. Arriving at the manor, Saul Tarvitz wasted no time in approaching Count Ramiel and swearing an oath of fealty to him in return for a percentage of the tax.

Although he excelled at most arts of the nobility as a child, he was most interested in the people of the village and would spend many hours a day conversing with them. Originally he had never intended to leave the village, but to remain and inherit the lordship of the village; yet reports of the wars kept coming back to him. Under the rule of Queen Alanna Anaris there was more war then there had been before, even in the records of his family’s estate. Pian en Luries seemed to be under more threat now, then it ever had been and it was during this time that Saul decided he would go out into the world and defend his homelands.

The Estate
Having recently had a lack of Knights, and with the civil war, the estate that Saul was granted within the lands of Nid Tek looked slightly in disrepair. Knowing this, Count Ramiel had provided Saul with enough gold to get the estate back into order and to enlarge as much as was allowed for a Knight. Calling his messenger to him, Saul sent him to the local town in order to hire builders, carpenters, potters and weavers so that his estate could be made to look fit for a Knight of Nid Tek.

Overseeing the reconstruction himself, Saul tailored the estate to his own personal taste; big tapestries, ornate pots, archways, ornate doors, carved stones and more. The estate was taking shape, and Saul had other things on his mind that now needed to be attended to. Calling his most trusted personal servant, Saul handed him the remaining designs for the estate

|Content=As you ride up towards the large estate, a wooden wall rises up out of the distance; the northern wall of the estate. Along the path, square wooden poles, regularly apart, are set ablaze, constantly burning, like torches. As you get closer, you can see a pair of gates on the wall; two men with spears stand in front of each door, spears held upright with banners flying in the wind. The banner flying from the top of the spear denotes them as men belonging to Saul Tarvitz, the lord of this estate.

Noticing your approach, and the obvious nobility that you have, one of the men shouts something, and both of them stand aside as the gate swings inwards, revealing a courtyard. As you enter the courtyard, a stable hand approaches you, waiting for your horse to be handed to him. Looking around you can see that the stable is up against the western wall of the estate; a Knightly horse is seen to, being groomed by the head groom. Part of the courtyard looks like it has been used as a drill site, hoof prints and shuffled sand give away that the drill site was recently in use.

The estate itself stands in front of you, stone walled about half way up, with the rest being made of wood, it looks like a peaceful and serene retreat fromthe maddness of the world outside. Approaching the door, no one comes to stop you, yet no one comes to open it for you; presuming that your herald would have already announced you. As you get close, the door opens inwards for you, and a man stands there, dressed in smart appearance.

Knighthood
Saul Tarvitz set off from his estate with a small troop of men, merely for protection, and headed for the capital of the realm; the city of Askileon. Without much difficulty, Saul Tarvitz arrived at the city of Askileon, it's gleaming white walls inspiring awe in him the moment he laid his eyes on them. Stopping for a brief moment, he took in the sight of the city, knowing that he had made the right choice in becoming a knight of Pian en Luries. Regaining his senses, Saul rode into city; recently provided with gold he had need of a unit of men that would do him proud on the field.

Saul wrote a letter to the local lord of the region, Ramiel Avis, who promptly accepted and offered him an estate in return for his services. He served as a simple knight during the second war against Fiossa, seeing little action. Although he kept quiet in the beginning, Saul began to become more outspoken and to converse with those around him; not soon after he was announced as Vice-Marshal of The Crusaders of the Path.

Shortly afterwards, King Koli Bedwyr was appointed as the new King of Pian en Luries after the Warden, Malus Solari, abdicated so that a new King could finally be chosen. At this time a controversial figure, Alanna Anaris, reappeared and contested Koli Bedwyr’s claim to the throne. Even after Koli had won the throne she continued her outburst against the King and eventually declared open rebellion. Although offering his sword to return to Askileon to defend the Capital from her attempted coup he was ordered to remain in Ciarin Tut.
Always and forever, Saul had been interested with Cavaliers and their units of cavalry; gleaming banners streaming as they ride forth, closing in the the enemy on the field of battle. However, Saul neither had the experience, nor the gold to fund a unit of Cavalry; that, he decided, had to be left to those whom were more wealthy than he was. No, Saul had to settle for a unit of infantry, and, checking out their armour, weapons and training, finally settled on a group of men who had some decent sense of teamwork and knowledge of how to work together; it was going to be hard work he had decided.

Sauls world had been turned upside down slightly, with the talk of revolt and rebellion, Duke Armury had been banned from the realm, and then Queen Alanna had also disappeared without so much of a trace. Saul had managed to keep it together, and following the reformation of the new army, The Crusaders of the Path, he had managed to gain enough gold to recruit his first unit of cavalry.

Saul's coat of arms only differs from the family coat of arms in the top right hand section of it. Over the top of the Stable Cheveon is crossed Sword and Lance; the lance represents that Saul belongs to the order of the cavaliers, the sword represents justice, which Saul strives for above all else, in addition to military honour. The image over them top of them is a label, and is used to show that Saul is the first born son of the Tarvitz household, just as his brother is denoted as the second son.

Childhood

Saul was the firstborn twin to his parents Devan and Airianne, who were at that time Lord and Lady of the village. Saul’s parents found little time to care for him due to the demands of the day today running of the village. It was such that the only real companion he had his whole life was his twin, Garro.

Knighthood

Lordship and Marshal

With the rebellion quashed, Pian en Luries took a turn for the better. Franz Finsternis, previously lord of Ciarin Tut became Commander of the armies and as by law was required to leave the Lordship of Ciarin Tut. Saul was swiftly chosen to be the next Lord of the region, and he became a member of some prominent forums, namely the ‘commanders tent’. Time passed and Saul assisted, or lead, in the defence of many attempted invasions from the abomination and undead that plagued the wilderness to the north of the lands. During this time, tensions began to rise between... ((Ramiel Avis and Malus Solari)).
