Recently, Tara has signed a peace treaty with Ash Sea Islands, Falasan, Redspan and Abington. This peace is expected to bring about a final sense of peace on the Island of Atamara. We recently reviewed some farmers in Tandsu and Foda and here's there comments:
+
A coordinated counterattack by Falasan and Minas Ithil has succeeded in taking Cori and Picnu away from us. With our own allies unavailable and monsters/Norland Raiders n the rear, we have been unable to muster enough to resist.

''"I am happy as a pig in mud that Tara is finally at peace.  I never had a desire to 'grow'.  I think that's a silly concept"'', one farmer said to us in our visit to Tandsu.
+
Rest assured, this is only a minor delay in our plans of spreading Freedom to the Oppressed.

Another resident of Foda was recently quoted.  "I don't know, our Duke just built a cavlary stables and has men working on the captial's walls. I suspect they fear an invasion. I saw some of our men marching south, perhaps they are moving down to help Carelia with some Monsters or something."

We have just gotten word that a major assault has overrun Ash'rily, capital of the Ash Sea Islands. An estimated 30,000 CS Army of Caergoth/Carelia defeated ASI's 15,000 CS defenders in a titanic battle. Damage to both armies and the fortifications have been massive.

Is it possible to have happy times after being reduced to just 4 regions?  Not according to many business men in Foda. "Our business is suffering.  We have less people traveling to Foda for business now that Ash Sea Islands has 'Taken' our farm lands. We are confined to a forest for cripes sake!"  Another Merchant said, "Yeah, it's slow, but it is so much better not having troops marching through town.  I'm so happy that we are in a time of peace."
+
There has been a large resurgence of undead and monster activity in Carelia, the Cagilan Empire, Darka and Tara. These evil creatures are of such size and strength that normal militia units are incapable of stopping them. Thus, it is with reluctance that each realm must dispatch a task force for disposal.

This scribe wonders how long the people will maintain peace.  The thing that keeps others from attacking Tara any further is that they are a good buffer between enemy and ally.
+
We do not know how Falasan has done this but rest assured, the Freedom of Rabbits is still our highest priority!

As anyone can see in the map, we are doing very well. There is almost no resistance now when our army liberates Rabbit regions. Peasants welcome Tara with open arms. Both Barad Falas and Tucha are surrounded, there people starving while their Lords flee. As I write this, I look out my window and witness the massive army gathering for the siege of Barad Falas. Once that persecuted city is free, Falasan will be broken.

Tara was recently told the the Caglin Empire, one of the most trusted realms of Tara's will be handed Avrende. This move is surprising and much talk is about it.
+
One of the early questions in this war has always been the early warning the Ash Sea Islands received during the massing of our armies at their border. We have later learned that a traitor from Suville leaked the liberation plans to our enemies, prolonging the war and suffering of ASI.

The ruler, Zadar Nargarth was recently asked why this would happen, his reply, "Tara is one of our most favored Nations, and we need to ensure they have the food supplies they need. With there recent handing over of Meldeen to Redspan in return for peace, they gave up a large food suply.  So, as a good and true ally, we are helping to give them a self sustaining food supply."
+
Clearly, Sir Damian Bedwyr, Duke of Stoneville can be none other than the traitor in question. HE made ASI suffer and, indeed, the argument can be made that the Falasan War is his fault as well.

Achilles, the Dictator of Tara recently announced that he would soon be celebrating the wonderful work his region commanders and Burocrats are doing maintaing Tara in these difficult times.  "I think it is important to recognize the contributions the commanders are doing everyday. Solton, for example, recently built a Calvary stables, upgraded some fortifications and helped get seige engines manufactured.  He's held court on numerous occassions and is just overall dedicated.  Death, as well has contributed a substantial amount of time, holding courts and helping maintain the regions as well. There's just so many to thank, I don't have enough time to do it!"

I am pleased to introduce Sir Kalanar Ardarcil to our readers. He is a Knight of Tarasac and will report on the battles our realm has fought against our enemies.

Achilles Arilus is one of three siblings who are part of the Arilius Family.  His father was once a great Emperor but was overthrown and lost his realm to a band of thugs.  Achilles hopes to rule more fair and just than his father did, hoping to bring the Taran's closer together to be able to face and advasary!

Upsurge of Monsters Delay Advance!
September 8th, 2008

Traitor Identified at Last?
September 1st, 2008

One of the early questions in this war has always been the early warning the Ash Sea Islands received during the massing of our armies at their border. We have later learned that a traitor from Suville leaked the liberation plans to our enemies, prolonging the war and suffering of ASI.

Clearly, Sir Damian Bedwyr, Duke of Stoneville can be none other than the traitor in question. HE made ASI suffer and, indeed, the argument can be made that the Falasan War is his fault as well.

The Tara Times will seek to confirm this speculation and get back to you.

Falasan Inquirer Admits Fault!
September 2nd, 2008

I have just finished reviewing past issues of our brother journalists across the divide and I have come to a stunning article...

Falasan admits they are to blame for the war!

Indeed. In a fine display of honesty, the most recent edition of the Falasan Newspaper freely admits that it was their ineptitude and foolishness that has caused all this mayhem. Thousands of deaths and countless villages could have been spared had the stubborn Rabbit King shared the views of his reporters.

The Tara Times urges the Falasan Inquirer to promote an unconditional surrender among their people. This is the only humane action in the face of their nation's culpability in recent events.
