Ikalak has managed to take Mewun from Sandalak, meaning that since going to war with Ikalak, Sandalak has actually lost ground. Taselak, however, took Jerelin at about the same time. This cuts off the Ikalakian region of Neralle. The local government of Neralle grew fearful of abandonment, with many local government officials urgently pleaing for help from the army. Their routes to the capital are now cut off and Neralle will surely fall to Taselak unless Ikalak retakes the wooded region of Jerelin.

We have just gotten word that a major assault has overrun Ash'rily, capital of the Ash Sea Islands. An estimated 30,000 CS Army of Caergoth/Carelia defeated ASI's 15,000 CS defenders in a titanic battle. Damage to both armies and the fortifications have been massive.

A major battle errupted today in the border realm of Ibyp, currently under Sandalak's influence. The battle between Ikalak and Sandalak was close, and lasted at least a couple of hours. During this time many soldiers gave their lives, and Alfonzo, a long time Hero of Ikalak fought bravely but was ultimately killed in action.  During the same battle Hero-General Grig of Ikalak also fell wounded, but well before Alfonzo was smited mortally.

There has been a large resurgence of undead and monster activity in Carelia, the Cagilan Empire, Darka and Tara. These evil creatures are of such size and strength that normal militia units are incapable of stopping them. Thus, it is with reluctance that each realm must dispatch a task force for disposal.

''"My thoughts go out to Alfonzo's family, he served Ikalak faithfully for a long time, we are saddened by his loss.  But he would all like for us to remember him and the faithful servings to his realm"'', sobbed Garthor, one of the reamining men in Alfonzo's unit.

As anyone can see in the map, we are doing very well. There is almost no resistance now when our army liberates Rabbit regions. Peasants welcome Tara with open arms. Both Barad Falas and Tucha are surrounded, there people starving while their Lords flee. As I write this, I look out my window and witness the massive army gathering for the siege of Barad Falas. Once that persecuted city is free, Falasan will be broken.

title =Sandalak and Taselak Agree to Crush Ikalak|

article =For the last few months Taselak and Sandalak have had an agreement to wipe Ikalak off the map. Lonewolf, Taselak's King, and Alexei, Sandalak's Dictator at the time, have come to terms that Ikalak must go, the motativating factor is unknown. Terms of the deal are not clear, but it is to be in effect until Ikalak if no more.  Ikalak's response has certainly to be one of disappointment.  ''"We like this form of goverment, they don't steal our pigs, nor our first born sons!"'', said Narasim, a peasant in Abykal.

With an open ended agreement Ikalak must see the writing on the wall for their realm, however one analyst says they Ikalak now holds the key to the sole owner of the Island. ''"Even though this agreement may preclude Ikalak, it does not mean they will not have an impact, on the contrary, the can decide the winner, giving it to one realm or the other"''. The source remains anonymous.

One of the early questions in this war has always been the early warning the Ash Sea Islands received during the massing of our armies at their border. We have later learned that a traitor from Suville leaked the liberation plans to our enemies, prolonging the war and suffering of ASI.

Sandalak communications have indicated that they would only be satisfied with the complete demise of Ikalak. Taselak officials were not available for comment.

Clearly, Sir Damian Bedwyr, Duke of Stoneville can be none other than the traitor in question. HE made ASI suffer and, indeed, the argument can be made that the Falasan War is his fault as well.

Traitor Identified at Last?

One of the early questions in this war has always been the early warning the Ash Sea Islands received during the massing of our armies at their border. We have later learned that a traitor from Suville leaked the liberation plans to our enemies, prolonging the war and suffering of ASI.

Clearly, Sir Damian Bedwyr, Duke of Stoneville can be none other than the traitor in question. HE made ASI suffer and, indeed, the argument can be made that the Falasan War is his fault as well.

The Tara Times will seek to confirm this speculation and get back to you.
