LETTERS to the Editor(s):

"Well, it's quite obvious that Ubent is jumping on the profitable bandwagon of peace - most realms want to throw tournaments these days (didn't I hear LoF and Itorunt both wanted to plan one?) and I'm sure the winners don't mind paying that much - if you will try and educate the masses into realising they're being conned, it won't work, because every new noble dreams of glory in a tournament - something they rarely (if ever) attain, but they will keep dreaming."

Your words speak truth, "X"...but reason must always trump blind and unmeritted personal glory. Honor is due where Glory is met, if that makes any sense, and if/when Itorunt/LoF host tournies I will either attend them, or discourage nobles from getting duped. Hell, I don't care if a realm makes profit...that is a good thing...but when a Tournament is done as a fundraiser in lieu of a token of National Pride...then it is disgusting. The games are created to honor the hosts you know? The size of your tournament reflects on the personal integrity and values of your realm...if you are shady and cheap with the things that matter in life, I can only hope enough *warriors* can see through the illusion of glamour and say "Screw You." I may be an old man, but I'm not dead yet...and what was true then, is still true today, even if future generations wish to blur the lines and turn this world I call home into a place of convenience. Many apologies for rambling. Please spread the message if you believe it, and ban this Ubentian Tournament. -Doc
