The same thing can be done with message groups.Take your nobles and throw them into a group, give it a name and you're done. If refurendums could be handed out to message groups you could set up all sorts of voting strata.--Dalakar 12:41, 12 March 2008 (CET)

EX: Message Groups

to - everyone in "Forum Publicus -Those interested" (public group) <- adjunct to the senate

to - everyone in "Ordo Tacitics -Military Planning" (public group) <- advises the general and discusses stratagey

to - everyone in "Senate -Those who decide" (public group) <- acts as a diplomatic and interior Council

Yes, you can set up these groups manually. But no members are automatically included, the ruler has unassailable power of patronage over them and currently I am not sure how referendum's could be delivered to manually made message groups. The difference with these Councils is that they will be part of the game mechanics. Part of a realms governance by matter of course. It also forces serious medieval behaviour I think. If a ruler wants to attack the power of his Judge for example, he will have to be more creative than simply pulling him from a message group. --Revan 15:24, 12 March 2008 (CET)
A realm would have to be drastically different from the one that uses these message groups for the ruler to be able to get away with removing people on a whim. The nation itself would rise up against such an action and that would be a very atmospheric response. Automatically including someone who does not wish to take part is a waste of effort, if one is not willing to make the effort to request access it is rather pointless to include them automatically just so they ignore everything. --Dalakar 15:38, 12 March 2008 (CET)
