Brief history of the SHS
The Swift Hand of Sartan, or the SHS, are an elite army who, despite been small in numbers, have had quite a successful, though short, life. They were formed by Duke Roberd of Niel who gave Talon the position of Marshall and Tenal Second in Command. They then had some successful small raids which then led to the assault on Nocaneb. But just before the battle, they lost thier marshal Talon who became Paladin Primus of Sartania. I am not sure but i believe that Roberd temporarily took his place and that Tenal remained Second in command. Back to the battle of Noceneb. The SHS were the first in, making the full day move without one person been early or late. Sadly, despite the heroic attempts the TO failed. They then were forced to return to Niel. A couple of minor battles later, Roberd gave up his Marshall position and gave it to Tenal and the Second in Command position to Lady Isabelle. They then TO Saex along with the TSC but shortly after TSC left, Arcaea counter attacked with a massive army which cost the SHS many men. This was their first defeat and during the battle, Sirs Tenal and Roberd were taken into prison. it was then that Duke Roberd sent a strange message to PP Talon and then betrayed Sartania and joined Arcaea which disbanded the SHS because he was the founder. The converted Duke
Roberd Ghia: "When they captured me, they took my to their dungeon. They gave my a cell, then a guard came to me and said: "I'll start with you, Duke of Niel, Hahaha!" I didn't know what he means, then an adventure told me that he is going to torture me. I didn't knew what I had to do, so a prayed to Satan: "Sartan, dear God, why? Help, me please. Sartan, give me a sign." I looked at the moon, and that moment, I heart the voice of my father inside my head. He said: "My son, do what you think it's the best thing, follow your hard, everything will go as it is predestined, you only need to make the good decision." But my father was dead, I knew that this was a sign of Sartan. An hour later, the guard came back, with a really big man. "This is Mr. Hulrig, he will torture you till death if he has to, but I think it won't come that far." "Why, what do you want from my?" Then the guard told me this: "I want that you convert to Arcaea, you will die, and your friend to, but before Hulrig will hang you all, you all need to convert to Arcaea. You probable want to know why. OK, I'll tell you that. If you convert to Arcaea, you will betray Sartania, if I hang you as a noble of Sartania, then we will get bigger problems with Sartania." I thought, what shall I do....... "Ok, I'll do it, but only if you don't hurt my friends!" "You have my word that I won't do that, and everyone here in this dungeon heart that, I'll go. Tomorrow night, we will hang you. The great Duke will become a death banned noble of Arcaea. And Sartania will be happy with this, they think you betrayed them. Hahaha.. I'll see you tomorrow." I felt down on my knees, I hoped I made the correct decision. Later that night, I couldn't sleep, I heart someone how was opening the door of the dungeon. He came to my cell, "Roberd, wake up. Sign this, then you will become a noble of Arcaea." I signed it a tried to sleep. That morning I woke up. I had the feeling that I only slept for 10 minutes. I yelled to the guard that I need something. The guard came to my cell, "What do you need?" "My messages, please, I'll pay you for that, how about 5 gold." "Hmmm.. Ok. I'll do it, but keep it quiet. No one needs to know that I'm doing this for you." The guard came back in the afternoon, he had a lot of letters with him. One by one I read them. Also a message that Trinity was attacked. That evening, the judge arrived in Remton. He visits me. He said: "You have luck, Trinity is seriously wounded, that's why I'll set you free. She wanted to see you dying, now she can't see you. And I can't hold you here till she is is ready to see you. I'm a reasonable man, so I'll let you go, but only on one condition , that you will leave Arcaea immediately and never come back. The next time, I won't be very reasonable for you, now you can go and I'll see you again on the battlefield." "I'll leave, you have my word that I'll do that, and are you also going to set the other Satanian nobles free?" Ï'll probable set them free, but go now, before I want to hang you myself." So I left the dungeon as fast as I could, going back to Seax, to my unit.
(OOC: The trued again in OOC: To be honest, me English skills aren't very good, when I came in the dungeon, I saw a word 'Convert'. I didn't knew what it means, so I read the description of the word. OK, I thought it means something like, placing over to the dungeons of your own realm, that half true, because I'm now in the dungeons of me own realm, because I'm a noble of Arcaea now. Then there stood, it's not without consequences, OK, but that's only if my own realm don't want me, that they can take of my title, ban me and such if they want, but Sartania would never do that to me, so I thought it's the shot wroth. I thought, when I click on that option, I will come on a page, then I need to make a agreement with the judge our such. But no, when I clicked on that button, I lost everything.
I'm always doing my best on writing letters, but I'm also curious man, and I hope I can be your Duke again, I learnt my lesson, don't use option when I don't know what it does. This isn't a fault of my character as Duke, but of my curious self. So I hope I can be your Duke, and you have my word that I would never betray my homeland Sartania.)
