Abbington Traitor Finally Caught
I Will Survive (IWS), an infiltrator from ASI has been executed for his crimes against Abbington many years ago. This reporter has done some research to find out what IWS did to Abbington. Deep in the vaults of knowledge, I found this out about a lost realm called Antioch. He opend the door to Abbington to the rebels in the realm of Antioch, once they were defeated he then fled to ASI, Abbingtons long time enemy. For more information about this act of treachery you may follow this link. Antioch "Tony Malone"
Tourney Results.
A tourney was held not to long ago in the realm of Norland. Over 250 TL's particpated and had a good old time. There were many representatives from Redspan. The quality of the nobles there was outstanding with many close compertitons and duels. In the jousting Tony from Redspan made it to the 5th round, where Philippe got to the 3rd round of sword fighting. The realm of Redspan would like to congratulate every one who took part. Carelia Defeated In Tandsu.
It is with a heavy heart that I report that Carelia was defeated in Tandsu, With Redspans forces unable to help. Due to the non agression pact Redsapn signed with Tara meant we could not come to the aid of our federation partner. But fortunatly our friends understood. Hopefully we will be able to fight side by side soon. "Tony Malone"
Regions Looking Good!
Redspans regions have looked the best today since the end of hostilities with the NA. Only Meldeen, which was the region that changed hands many times still needs to regain full production. The only reason it hasnt is becasue of the constant rape and murder of the peasents by the NA forces duriong their TO and occupation. And a word of Advice....Never mention Tara in any of the pubs. you will likly have no beard left at the end of it. "Tony Malone"

Sullenport In Sight
Thats right following on from the last edition of the RR, about ASI handing over possesion of Sullenport back to Redspan brought a wave of happiness from both the city and from the regions still under Redspan control. Although it may still be a while yet as ASI has not fully taken control of the islands they claim so much. But there is a bright future ahead of us!. "Tony Malone"
An Interview with Lady Armitage III, Queen of Abington
Last month I published an interview with King Doc's Revenge of ASI which elicited all sorts of feelings from the nobles of this realm. He offered his thoughts & opinions on many current events, particularly on the ASI/Abington conflict over "The Islands." To get the other side of the story, I decided to ask Queen Armitage for an interview, to which she graciously consented.

RedSpan Revealer (RR): How are the peasants & nobles of Abington reacting to the possible loss of "The Islands"? Are they willing to part with them for peace with ASI?

We (were) willing to part with the island states when the war first (started). We pull out troops off the islands to let them have an easier takeout. King DR didn’t want us to just hand over the islands but have a war allowing them to do takeover of the rural region and then work out a deal to hand over the cities to them.

The Abington council is still in favor of giving the island state to ASI, but we will not give them Wayburg, Riverholm, or Wynford.

(RR): King Doc's Revenge alleged in his last interview with the Revealer that the people of "The Islands" had been "... treated as slaves and starved for the benefit of others" under Abington rule. Your comments on this statement?

Slave no… in fact Callisto build the walls, all the recruiting center and market place in Ash-rilly. Drago build the walls, and recruiting center in Wor-ight. Both cities didn’t have anything when we took it over about 4 years ago, so Abington had to build them to what they are now. Ash-rilly was a showcase of what we wanted all out cities to looked like.

Was Ash-rilly straving, yes. Abington require a lot of food to feed it cities, Ash-rilly require the most and the hardest for us to shipped for since we couldn’t come thru ASI with our troop leaders. So its basically was getting what was left after it pass thru Riverholm. That was one of the reason we was willling to give up the city. In fact the Abington council had been talking about giving it to ASI for over a year before this war start, but chain of events kept it from happening.

(RR): ASI had gained control of all "The Islands" regions. Why hasn't a peace treaty between ASI and Abington been signed yet?

DR is not happy with just the island state now. He want us to give up Wayburg for a colony, and he want us to now to give up Riverholm and Wynford. Basically it the old saying, give them an inch, and they want a mile.

ASI can have the island state, but now they as always, (want) more.

(RR): How do you feel about RedSpan not getting involved in this Abington/ASI conflict?

It hurts because they are our allies, but you can talk with the King of Redspan, I never asked them for help, military, or for food. The reason why, I knew that they couldn’t afford to get into the middle of this war between Abington vs. MI/Tales/ASI. They (had) their own problems with CE and Tara. I understood this and never expected them to help us.

(RR): I know from our past personal dealings that Wayburg is a place very close to your heart. Talk breifly about the Kybcyll colony, and how it affected you, both as a ruler and long-time member of Abington.

4 years ago, Abington was on the edge of destructions. I was in the realm for less than 60 days when I because the Queen of Abington. I was on the throne for almost a full years before I was able to stepped down. I never got to experiences being a regular troop leader, local lord, a city commanders (now duchy), or any other position like other troop leaders got to do. When I stepped down from being the Queen I was giving the title of the duchy of Wayburg. Since it was my first position away from the commands of being a Queen, its gave me freedom to be me, and like other troop leaders its being my first duchy, meant a lot to me.

Plus the fact its was one of the originally cities that make up Abington when my mother came to Abington and fought. So I cannot ever see Wayburg not being part of Abington.

(RR): Any plans you have after the war with ASI is over that you'd care to share with us?

RETIRE! And I mean it this time. I have family business that need to be done, and I cannot do them as Queen. I only came back to the throne because King Carrinator disappear, and ASI was wanting to declare war on Abington. DR was willing to grant us a week to be ready, and there was a large amount of Troopleaders demanding that I take the throne back until it was safe for us to have an elections.

(RR): What do you like and/or respect most about RedSpan and its people? Why?

Redspan has always been an underdog in this world. They had to fight for everything that they have, and fought to keep what('s) theirs. I respect them for their courage to fight, to not give in. It takes special people to keep going like Redspan had to do, and that means a lot to me.

Redspan was (Abington's) first allies had when I first became Queen a long time ago. Being the first allies for the new Abington made them special, and I guess they will always consider our allies.

Thank you, Lady Armitage, for taking time out of your busy schedule to address these questions for the RedSpan people. -by Shamus
