Candiels early morning

The city was silent, not a single soul seemed present. Jasper, a skinny young local citizen was holding his morning walk, inspecting the ocean for fishing. He wore ragidy clothes, un-shaven looking like he hasn't eaten for a while either. He held his hand above his eyes and lured into the deep mist. Nothing. The mist was far to much to be able to look out over the ocean and observe the waves or the weather above. But just as he decide to return home, he saw the mist breach. small crippling waves became bigger and bigger coming straight towards him, until maybe 200 meters from where he stood, the ships breached the tick fog. Massive, traditionally decorated ships emerged from the fog, Jasper cached him self from falling. Then the masts became visible, huge Green Red and Yellow Madinan masts. Only untill the ships started docking and the alarm bells where rang, Jasper realized what happened. "They are finally here to Liberate us from our hunger!" And he ran off to spread the word while D'haran forces sloppily rushed into battle.

Everyone was caught by surprise and the Madinans brought a formidable army. It was quickly clear that there was not much use fighting, and after a few rounds the Republican Army took military control over the city. As soon as the news started spreading, many poor, starved citizens of Candiels rushed out of there houses with the little strength they had left to greet and cheer the Madinan liberators. Soldiers spread some rum and Garden coconut rice amongst the peasants and hand in hand they raised Madinan banners as they tore the royal flags off of every building they passed. The atmosphere was festive, amongst the soldiers where varies well known nobles as well, Lord Admiral Luan, Marshall and Grand Dodge Vallyn, Lord Coturnix, Lord Halicos and Lord Abbot himself holding out there right hand making a V sign, a sign for victory.
