A dazzingly Shiny companion

The earlier scout reports warned of an eminent attack and Aurvendils remarkable recovery. Around a thousand men they mustered and sent across the channel. What was there secret? Could it simply be D'haran and Terran support? Abbot puzzled his mind as he saw the Royal masts come closer and closer. The alarm bells rang and all men where ready to fire. It was dead silent just before the battle started, it lasted for almost a minute, untill the silence was broken by Abbot, closing the lid of his helm and shouting his commands over the tower walls. "'IIIRREEEE AAAT WILL!"

The wind was not on there advantage, yet a heavy shower of steel arrows came down on the Aurvendilian ships, killing and wounding many rebels before they managed to reach the walls. The Aurvendilian archers retaliate but to no avail.

The battles against Aurvendil becomes bloodier and bloodier as it continued. The Madinans where very confident in there victory in the end but where surprised again and again by the small rebel realms capabilities. They never believed the rebels could muster such a large army. The battle lasted long and the fight was intense. The battle reached it's climax when all royal units managed to scale the walls with the use of there many Siege Engines and managed to route several Madinan soldiers. Governor Fionn however, mounted on her horse and sided by her heavy cavalrymen waited till this moment for her overwhelming charge. Abbot and his men where, like all others entangled in a nasty close combat with the scaling rebels. Enemies where coming from left and right and Abbot desperately managed to parry off the attackers. The sun stood in the perfect angle, his huge shiny golden ring reflected a ray of light into the eyes of the enemy soldiers. Blinded by the quick flash, abbot manages to strike them down, perfectly adopting to his older body, not able to fight as good and long as it used to. His Wooden right right leg was often in the way and threatened to tip him off balance, but the cover from his men and the use of his ring kept him standing against the overwhelming enemy.

Fortunately the towers Cavalry charge released some pressure off the front. Unit after rebel units where thrown of the walls, but to no avail, battered and beaten they kept returning to there siege engines to scale the walls. Under the heavy pressure of constant close combat, Abbot and some other archer units decided to retreat from the front and regroup. A turning point was already reached and the highly experienced and heavily equipped Madinan infantry held a strong hold against the rebel lower armed infantry, it was safe for the archers to retreat. In the period here after, the rebels where thrown of the walls one last time and din't manage to get back up. The battle was finally over and the coast of Tower Fatmilak was colored red, of the blood of the fallen. In the hours after, the tide came in and washed the blood from it's shores as easy as it was spilled before.
