Rather than the white cross they were accustomed to, the cross was now blood red, and atop the yew staff that held the colors was a large ruby, encased in platinum, in the shaped of a blood drop. Raziel spoke to them, and said "They were your brothers, and now they turn their backs on you. They stole your colors, they stole your pride, your honor, your army. I say, here, march under these colors. Let your blades, your armor, your faces match your banner. Spill their blood, and may it stain the land so as to be a warning for generations, 'Minas Ithil has no mercy for traitors'."

The Legion of Minas Ithil was reformed by Field Marshal Raziel III during the Leonese Usurpation. The Legion of Minas Ithil in its first form was absorbed in the rebel faction occupying Leohampton and renamed the Legion of Minas Leon in a futile attempt to legitimize the bandit government. The remaining Ithillians who had formerly been apart of the Legion were outraged. Field Marshal Raziel III reformed the Legion, and gave them a new banner, their colors which they had so proudly marched under were slightly different.
