This is a personal account of Marc Keithson, currently in Riombara. Accourding to the wishes of his family a copy has been placed in this Library.

Since my men and I are safe inside the walls of Irombro, I think that this is an appropriate time to begin writing in this Journal once again. (My brother Paul's offer of a cut of however many copies of this account is sold on the East Continent, has nothing to do with me starting this up again! Well, maybe a little)

A lot has happened since I last wrote about Riombara. I didn't get the Lordship of Avengemil, but I did get Bolkenia. Although it is severely depleted population wise, it is still a good region dotted with small towns on the outskirts of Irombro. The Guardian Spirit has also allowed duels. On my first try I won, but then I challenged one of my fellow counts to a duel and I lost. But that's okay, it was a friendly duel.

I have also joined the Sungard Guild and having preformed the Oath, been promoted to Seeker of the Sun. In order to be promoted again, I'll have to stay in Irombro for a longer time and proform the Rite of Meditiation for two days. I have to at lest go to Bolkenia and check up on my offical before I can return to Irombro and make an attempt, but I think it would be worthwhile to try and move up the ranks.

A group of Undead have risen up from the rogue city of Eno and, having beaten my men, a militia unit and a fellow nobles unit, are proceeding to loot the towns and villages in Bolkenia. I'd left for Irombro earlier in the day, confident the militia would be able to hold them, but now I have to chose between moving up the ranks in the Sungard Guild or holding my region together until an Army group arrives...

Decisions, decisions...

The group of Undead has been destroyed and my little vist to Irombro turned into a trip back to the capital in order to pick up some men for a new militia group. I was getting the 20 best Infantry men I could find when I recieved word that the general Lady Angel Eyes was recruiting a militia unit also and was heading down to Bolkenia. Combined, we made 40 men, 20 Infantry and 20 Archers. Once back in Bolkenia, I heard a rumour that a fellow noble is heading down to Bolkenia with another militia unit. Oh well, at lest Bolkenia is in relativly good shape. I've managed to get a few days away from Bolkenia in order to start my Rite of Meditation for progression in the Sungard guild.

I've been settling into the role of region lord very well. It's been a couple of months since I was appointed and my only real purpose to be in-region is to hold court. I try not to issue an execution orders, (the gods know that we don't need anybody else killing off the peasants!) but occasionally I wish I could. Like, for instance, the Academy in Irombro. I manage to get my affairs in Bolkenia settled and I plan on taking a couple of days vacation to Irombro and train my war-skills. What happens when I get there? The bloomin' Academy has just disappeared! I swear, sometimes I think that soemone is playing some kind of sick game with me. It's almost as if someone is running my life and trying to kill me of boredom...

I need some excitment in my life.

Well, I've preformed the Rite of Meditation and was promoted to Seeker of the Sun. After that, I headed to north Riombara where I participated in a battle against the Undead and was promoted in a ceremony at the Guildhouse in Athol Margos and I have been promoted to the rank of Soldier of the Sun which makes me a 'full' member of the guild.

It seems that we now have enough food in-realm to be able to attempt to take over the city of Rines. Hopefully, it will get started soon, but the rest is rather welcome. Currently, the army has been reformed, recruited, and sent to stay in Rines. We've been sitting around inside the city for a long time, I guess the intent is to make the peasants more familiar with us and I have to say that it's happening, slowly but steadily. I've been thinking about Rines for a while now, (as the reader probably knows from reading my earlier editions) it would be nice to become the first Duke in the family. Paul was the first Banker, but I got the first General. Hmm... anything to show him up would be a good thing!
