The Maggiori family originates from Monagle, Abington, Atamara. They are landed nobles going back generations, and have always been popular with the local peasants and traders. They are known for their philanthropic work and their dedication and loyalty to their realms and leiges.

The family has a history going back hundreds of years, but they do not write things down very well, so much of what the current generation knows about itself is based purely on what they remember. Owing to the fact that they are often tired, they often forget!

This is the family tree:

Lord Paolo Maggiori m Lady Beatrix Domini

They had three children: Johannes, Eduardo, Nicola

Lord Johannes Maggiori m Lady Christina de Melovio

They had four children: Paolo Jr, Joanna, Demitri and Carlo

Paolo Jr m Lady Arabella Cantelisto

They had three children: Caterina, Francesca, and Maddelena

Caterina Maggiori, the eldest of three sisters, chose to remain in her family's realm.

Francesca Maggiori, the middle of three sisters, chose to move to Bastad, Kalma Islands in the East Continent

Maddelena Maggiori, the youngest of three sisters, chose to move to Sasrhas, Lasanar in the Far East

The Maggioris and religion

All of the Maggiori family, for generations, have worshipped the Goddess La Luna who controls the tides, the seasons and the cycles of life. They are very in tune with the passing of time and very understanding of how things both change and remain the same. They are adament about their faith, and no one has yet to convert a Maggiori to follow another faith. They recognise that there are other gods, and are tolerant of others who follow a different path, but feel strongly the importance of maintaining the faith of the family. It is on this matter alone that they would ever disobey an order coming from someone to whom they had pledged their loyalty. Otherwise they will fight for, and defend, those to whom they have pledged their loyalty, even to the death.
