Diēscogitō

Bio

Diēscogitō was born among the Clan of Dray, and for most of his life has lived the life of the nomadic clan, and like all in his clan he learned to ride long before he learned to walk. He belonged to the Uvuljuu of fotia, he has innocent looking dark brown eyes and dark black hair.

At a young age he was already showing a great aptitude for horse archery. The time he was eight he was already hunting and learning how to track live game as well as trapping them.

He had an older brother named Durance Khan, but he died during a hunt in the north of Atamara, Falling through a frozen river to his death. That event was said to have had an impact on Diēscogitō and from then on had a great fear of large bodies of water since he had almost fallen in himself trying to save his brother. From then on Diēscogitō’s farther never had his band hunt near large bodies of water or camp near them. Tragedy would not end there for Diēscogitō however for on his fourteenth birth day his families band was attacked by an enemy group of nomads called the Ereka’ well his farther and the other men were out on a hunt.

Diēscogitō had had to stay behind because of a leg injury on one hunt, thus he and his grandfather had to stay behind with the other women and children. Die’tigo Khan, Diēscogitō farther, and head of his band, had felt it safe to leave his family momentarily unguarded since the Clans regularly patrolled the region and Ereka were rarely seen in this region.

(It should be said that though the Clan of Drayus is large, it splits its families groups into smaller more easily manageable bands, each band controlled by a head, or a Sheikh)

However it was on that fateful day that a small band of the clan’s rival nomads, the dreaded Ereka, had attempted a field raid on a larger band of the Drayus clan. Well on their escape they came upon Die’tigo Khan’s small family band and in a fit of revenge torched their yurt’s (tents made of animal hide) and ransacked the encampment.

During the raid, Diēscogitō mother, Analea, attempted to protect Diēscogitō who was still not able to move, and his sister Azalea. Diēscogitō Grandfather, old but still a capable fighter and warrior was able to fend of a few of them. But during the confusion Analea was hit by an arrow in the back that pierced right through her heart while she attempted to protect her son.

She died using her body as a human shield, just as Die’tigo returned with his hunting party after hearing about the raid from earlier and was able to drive of the Ereka. He did not come in time to save his beloved wife however and blamed himself for the event.

But none took it if harder then Diēscogitō who had seen own mother killed before his very eyes. Had he been stronger, had he not been wounded, perhaps then? But nothing could change the past. From that day one Diēscogitō vowed to become stronger.

He begun to train to become a knight, becoming Darlan’s (a minor noble in Eston lands) scribe (the clan of Dray always became apprentices or scribes when they wanted to learn the noble life to become one), were he learned much about noble adequate, he also showed interest in inventing, working with his hands and even a little in alchemy like Darlan.

But he wanted to do more then learn the ways of nobility, he wanted to grow stronger.

Stronger so he would never have to be the one who needed protection, stronger so he would never have t be the one unable to save those who needed him, stronger so he could defend his younger sister, stronger so he never had to feel weak and helpless. Thus after learning what he could from Darlan, and with his father’s blessings, Diēscogitō now heads to Hidale in the Cagilan Empire.

Where the powerful clan of Zack awaits, the strongest warriors on all the island, he will learn to become stronger so he can one day proudly take up his farther position as Sheikh, and lead his band without fear or guilt, and most importantly to him now, with strength and pride to protect them.
