The Jazuma warrior clan was started on a now lost island. They were fearsome warriors, with blond hair and striking azure eyes, hence their moniker 'The Azure Eyed Demons'. They looted, and killed the other inhabitants of the island. They're downfall came from within. During his trial (being abandoned at age 10 in the jungle for a year)a youth named Jitte, a son of the greatest warrior family, was possessed by a demon. Driven insane he massacred his own village. When his brothers Malachite and Halcyon returned from hunting they we sickened by what they saw. Bodies lay like discarded rag dolls, children with their throats slit, and worse of all, Jitte sitting on a pile of corpses, covered in blood, laughing. Halcyon and the survivors had to restrain Malachite, now chief, from executing Jitte on the spot. Instead they banished him across the Sea. Unknowingly they saved him from a worse fate. The other island's inhabitants heard of the massacre and began to arm themselves and hire mercenaries. Then they descecnded on the village. The Jazuma fought like demons but to no avail. Halcyon, barely conscious dragged himself to a boat and cast off. Malachite escaped after killing many enemies. If any others survive it is not known.

The gemstones: The three Jazuman Princes, Malachite, Halcyon and Jitte, were given three gems at their birth: A stone of Jade for Malachite, an azure Sapphire for Halcyon, and a dark, blood colored Ruby for Jitte.

Malachite is a fearsome warrior, a brilliant tactician and an intelligent foe, but at the same time a carefree man and a loyal friend. In battle Malachite fights with a zanbato, a massive Jazuman sword capable of cutting down both a horse and its rider. Malachite is tall, with blond hair and piercing azure eyes. His home is Carelia. However at age 23 Malachite poorly staged a rebellion and fled his land of Carelia and headed to the land Tara. In Tara he was asked to leave for diplomatic reasons, and left, with the same results, to the Cagilan Empire. After parting from CE he headed to Darka. After a hard choice he set sail across the seas. Coming to rest in Lasanar. But being a warrior he craved battle and he prepared to set sail to Beulaterra, finally reaching Thalmarkin. He left and pledged his sword to the Kingdom of Alluran. He was not suited to such a calm life and make for Taselak. Enjoying this constant life of war, he remembered his choices in Carelia. So, with regret, he left and sailed, to right the wrongs of his past. Landing in Minas Ithil, he set out to Carelia, at the invitation of King Kronos. Sadly the Council voted against the king, and Malachite was banned and imprisoned. He was executed.

Jitte is possessed by a demon of mist. As such he has bouts of madness and has killed his own men in said madness. Otherwise he is usually calm, cool, and collected. He fights with a katana long sword. Because of the mist demon, his whole body is covered in moving tattoos of mist. When he was under the spell of the mist demon he massacred his home village. After his banishment he made his home Ibladesh. He was purged of the demon and become a lord. He has grown tired of his life in Ibladesh and has set off to a new land

Halcyon

Halcyon stays out of the conflict of his two brothers. He is serene and has an overwhelming calm about him. He scorns weapons, instead being a martial arts master. After the destruction of his clan he made his home Lansanar. He was great friends with the rebel Rekoi. He is a good man, a little innocent, and loves to try new ale. He is as much a scholar and diplomat as he is a warrior. His friend, and demonicl possessed knight, Gaara, caused trouble and left the realm, prompting the Judge and the Council to lay his actions as Halcyon's fault. He was forced down from his position. He was then elected to the post of Grand Justiciar, to his great honor. Halcyon, following Malachite's death, is the Leader of the Jazuma Clan. He is engaged to Lady Nyniane of Lasanar. Due to a series of strange events, he became ruler of Ohnar for a time, until leaving for a new realm. He finally returned to Lasanar to witness its fall, before moving to Papania. After a flurry of self- doubt and depression, he tried to end his life, but to no avail.

Raleigh:

A former fortune-seeker and explorer who became a priest of Tor in Everguard. He is fanatically devoted to his new faith, and was deeply honored when he became a Thanaton (equivalent to a bishop). He calls himself the Paladin of Tor, for thought he has little knowledge of weaponry, he is armed with his devotion and zealotry.

Pent Jazal- A Jazuman Islander, from the lesser Jazal caste. He is Halcyon's bodyguard, scribe, assistant and aide in all else.

Eis Swain- Halcyon's ward and page. A commoner, and minor pickpocket, who gave Halcyon information, but reminded him so much of Malachite, that Halcyon accepted him into service. It has been revealed (only to Pent) that Eis is Malachite's son. Link title
