Himoura Family/Alioth

Alioth's life has been spent in service to the elders of the Himoura family. Alioth is the family Adjudicator, dealing out the Elder's justice. He is responsible for the deaths of Pelinal II and Setsuka. He has attempted to kill Thain, and has killed many servants and minor members of the Himoura family as well. His life has been spent in the shadows, but was recently dispatched to take care of Sorsha McDowell, and her child, Altair McDowell-Himoura. She left for Sint, and he took a detour, attempted to kill Thain, and then ran into Ahriman, whose real identity is a mystery.

Alioth is proficient with the batten technique of swordplay, where the swordsman keeps his blade in the sheath, until it is time to attack, striking from the sheath, increasing the speed of the blade. He has mastered this, but cannot hold out in a sustained fight, due to the fact that most of his fights are over in a single blow.
