In the early hours of the morning he woke to a loud crunch off to the north. Then there was another. These weren't just twigs breaking they were small trees. He grabbed his sword and got ready. He knew he may not see another moon. He could hear them. The grotesque sounds made his stomach churn. But it wasn't his first battle and hopefully it wasn't his last. A handful of them came running out of the woods and the ground began to shake and he found he had to steady his feet so he didn't fall over. As they came near he remembered the training he had in Springdale and he became one with his blade slicing through the ogres with ease. As the last one fell another group came then a third he continued the dance and the bodies began to pile. He had trouble seeing where they were coming from but finally the air became calm and he heard a bird chirp. Yes that's what he had missed when he was making camp.

He began to rummage through the Bodies and discovered some gold but one of them had a coat that seemed to glow in the shade. He took it and and wiped the blood off with a handful of tall grass. This is a special coat, he thought to himself as he put it on. Although it looked like it would be big, when he put it on it seemed to fit just fine. He then wrapped a cloak over it so that he would not attain any more attention than was needed.

Trevor Forbes had arrived in Rye the night before, exhausted from his travels he spread out his bedroll in a clearing. The night was clear and calm. Something about the calm wasn't right though. He laid there staring at the moon until exhaustion finally took over.
