Lady Ciann Fraoch, Morrighan of Arcachon,

I bid you greetings. How are things in Arcachon?

Awaiting your reply,

MiLord Baron Gaston,

We are well, though the siege warfare is duller then mine men are used to. The tiresome duties of diplomacy and international agreements and positioning are different then the battlefield, though just as deadly.

Though I wonder why a Baron of the conflicted lands would missive me, 'tis surely not for my poor calligraphy and ill writing skills. I am but new to words which are not spoken, but I have found that one cannot conduct secretive business with a mass of scribes trailing about.

So of what would you wish?

In faith,

Lady Ciann Fraoch

Morrighan Ciann Fraoch,

I would like for you to spare the life of Knight Jazz. In return, I would like to invite you to Hupar, where my minstrels will put on a play. Do you enjoy such entertainments?

MiLord Gaston,

I fear that MiLord King Jenred would be most worried if I were to visit Hupar, though I still have an invitation to sample jams in Talex with Queen Edara from long ago and would thusly stop be nearby.

I admit I have not seen minstrels since leaving Gaston, though even there they were naught but beggars trying to eke out coin from the merchants who plied wares for the Astromancers. Since my arrival upon the Far East I have seen naught but war and oppression and it leaves little time for frivolities, especially as I have yet to master the bow as I was commanded to by The Most Holy Dormondt, so that I could take up the life of the Order of the Sword.

He would blanch even to consider jams and plays, though I admit that my last visit to the tourney in the south was most enjoyable, and the birds are not dangerous at all. The great hunting birds of the North kill sheep regularly and in Tuhpos it was not uncommon for the occassional farmer to die by the hands of one. There is one especially large black bird who has gained a taste for human flesh and sounds disturbingly like those small beaked things which are so colourful that the Lady Dutchess of Idapur had on display.

In faith,

Lady Ciann Fraoch

Morrighan Ciann,

I think it would be best if you did not bring your army on your visit, of course! And you speak of the region of Gaston, on Dwilight? I would like to visit the region someday, just to see what my namesake is like. Could you tell me a little about it?

And who is this Most Holy Dormondt, that he can command the Morrighan of Arachon? Surely you do as you please!

As for the Duchess Adaria...I will stay away from her. Did you know she is romantically interested in Duchess Arya, who has sworn to place peasants above nobles? A strange couple, the duchesses of GA. I plan to stay away from them!
