While on a pivotal trade route between Sir Temple, Sirion and Slimbar; Dolmbar is a fairly quiet region. Most of the inhabitants live in various small villages within the heavy woodlands. Dolmbar is located on the edge of the Sacred Grove that covers Limbar, Flismar, Lissambar, Slimbar and Rollbar. A few settlements of fishing populations have begun to form along the Sirion River.

Dolmbar's economy is based on logging and farming. Most woods cut in Dolmbar are used for making arrows or axe handles for the Dolmbar Heavy Axemen and other Sirionite archers. Small human owned farms are located close to the Sirion River for the irrigation purpose. Crops produced in the region are sent to Sirion to feed the city. Some of Sirion's richest nobles have their mansions along the Sirion River to escape from the stressful days of the citylife.

In some properties the Scout Guild and Dolmbar Apprentices train the best horses in Sirion. The linen, cotton and the fibers of Rollbar herbs are used to weave noble clothes and beautiful flags. The healers studied at the best academy in Sirion and they can even cure men struck by lightning.

The main village is known by the centers of infantry recruitment. The best youths of Dolmbar learn how to use the sword and make a military career while merchants walk through the taverns, taking the food in caravans and buying luxurious goods in the markets.

The most rustic citizens and religious persons live close to the forest. There are also woodcutters and hunters. During the religious rituals those residents of religion guide the population to the small circle of stones in the forest to thank Elune. They sing:
