Combat Strength (CS) is exactly what it sounds like - the strength in combat of your unit. The higher the number, the better your troops will fight. It is determined by training, cohesion, unit number, equipment quality and damage, and the morale of your unit.

CS per unit ratios vary, but some acceptable ones are as follows:

Inf/Arch/MI: 10-15 CS per unit

Cavalry: 15-20 CS per unit

Special Forces: 20-25 CS per unit (varies, SF units are dark horses)
