Traitors in Carelia Kronos the famed King who saw Carelias expansion decided to form a new Nation from what was the Carelian City Nida. Agreements in place for the handover of the city to our allies CE are now stalled. Thus damaging our reputation through Atamara. Further appalling is the level of support he is gaining through the nobles. At this time i am unsure of whether the nobles in question are simply naive or as i suspect traitors. The definition they fit, it is now only a matter of if they are aware of there treachery. Garthon the one true king and Bartho, have yet to speak out over the issue. While they both are personally involved as friends, they are either our leaders of Carelia, who can not allow treason to stand, or they are simply nobles, who value their friendships more than Carelia. This indeed is a troubling time in Carelia. If this goes unpunished by leaders i respect and value their oppinions, i question what exactly is a punishable offense now a days? January 9th, 2008 Praise be to the banker An often under looked position of power, I offer a critique of the new banker Memnoch Corax. Under his new methods and trade policies, Carelias exported foods has jumped exponentially allowing Carelia a higher source of revenue in which nobles are able to spend more on ale and women. His policies allow a generous amount of latitude in which to aid friends in a pinch. Already even though we are in reconstruction mode, the surplus of food has made many fat with gold. Having said all that, like all leaders in positions new to them, they tend to be a bit rash. A trader coming to pick up food from Carelian storehouses was assaulted recently, and Carelia blamed for it. To quick Memnoch looked inward to our infils. instead of outside our own borders for people trying to disrupt the vast trade deals Memnoch has signed since coming to office after Bartho (which we will critique soon) vacated the position to become the new Judge. Personally i think that Memnoch Corax has some room to learn but is a quick study and one who may make Carelia very rich soon. Jan 4th 2008 The New Year Where to begin? In Carelia there has been a change of the hierarchy with Kronos now gone from the crown and Garthon at the helm. Not much action going on but the nobles of Carelia seem to fair well. Reconstruction was going faster than anticipated up until Lurgod decided to jump ship. Carelia has no intention of allowing a few disloyal but determined peasants dictate the future of a whole population of that you can rest assure. Garthon nor Carelia will allow its succession.
