A young man full of ambition and audacity, Velox had an unique upbringing among the nobility of his time. When he was but eight-years-old, he begged a young Caligan hero to make him his page so he could witness the great battles that ravaged the Southern portion of the Continent. Unforutnately, the hero declined. Still determined to see the grand battles of the South, Velox stow away on a trader's carte to the region of Supra. When Velox reached the region, it was in the middle of a large battle. Spotting the Caligan hero from before, Velox foolishly decided to run towards him. A troke of luck brought Velox to the hero unscathed, but unfortunately, this act distracted the hero from the battle at hand and he was struck down by a nearby Yssarian soldier. Staring in horror of what had just happened, and finally exposed to the truth of warfare, Velox stood there motionless while the battle continued around him.

Miraculously, Velox survived that battle. Gathering his nerves, he decided the reason he survived the battle was that he is destined for something else. Over the next decades of his life, Velox travelled throughout the East Continent, serving as page or squire to numerous nobles. Throughout the years, Velox gained a whole new perspected on warfare, and came to see it as not as a necessary evil, but as something to be enjoyed. Velox returned home once he turned 17. His cousins, the twins Gladius and Stella tried to persuade him to stay on the continent and help them face the leviathan that was Fontan. However, Velox has other plans on mind. He became tired of the continent and desired something new.

Stepping off the ship to the newly discovered continent of Dwilight, he became a noble in Morek by swearing allegiance to the Viscount of Huanghai, Vesuvis. Velox's first days in the realm were mostly uneventful, save for a failed bet at the vacant position of Ordermarshal. When he was offered to be one of the founders of a new colony based at Flowrestown, Velox eagerly took the offer. After months of preparation, the colonists set off and soon after the creation of the new realm, Velox was elected to the position of Earl Marshal in an unanimous vote. He was also key in the drafting of a Constitution for the new colony.
