The History of Morgan Darby

Morgan Darby began his career in Giblot at the age of 20 (March 20, '04). Having arrived in Giblot, Morgan began to help with the region upkeep. But after two weeks filled with more travelling than working and many confusing orders, he decided to find a more suitable home. It was around this time that he heard of a small realm in the New World, now known as Beluaterra, called Melhed.

Upon his arrival in Melhed, Morgan soon found the dictator, Rubeus, was madd. But there were also many friendly nobles who convinced him to stay. Rubeus was soon removed from power and replaced by Tsu. Tsu has proven to be a very competent ruler. In the first war with Fronen, Melhed was getting badly beaten, but Tsu managed to negotiate peace. Unfortunately, this peace came at the price of having Eugene as dictator. Under the rule of Eugene, Melhed became a very quiet realm. Eugene led Melhed's army south to help Fronen gain regions in the south. When Eugene had left no one at home to keep the regions in good shape, Morgan saw an opportunity. Morgan alone stayed behind and worked tirelessly to keep the regions in good shape. But after a month or two of Fronen's rule through Eugene, the people of Melhed began to wonder if they were ever going to get the republic demanded by the treaty with Fronen. At this time, Tsu began a rebellion, thowing out Eugene and making Melhed a Republic. In the following elections, Elwë tried to bribe Morgan, offering him 100 gold for his vote in the judge elections. Morgan, having amassed nearly 7 times that much gold as a bureaucrat, remembering the times that Elwë banned many of his friends, and having enough honour not to be bribed for his vote, turned Elwë in to the elected judge, who saw to it that he was suitably punnished for his crimes. Having shown his dedication to the realm, Morgan was appointed Banker. From this time forward, Morgan has led the bureacratic team (usually just himself) and has been deeply involved with the feeding of the realm.

Around the time he was apointed Banker, Morgan was also given the region of Tepmona to take care of. In the coming war between Melhed and most of the rest of the continent, Tepmona was lost to Fronen. Being without a region, it was found suitable to give him a new region. Gor Ault was then given to Morgan to take care of. After the subsequent monster invasion, Melhed lost all but one region, Agyr, and Morgan was once again without a region. When the undead mysteriously dissappeared, Melhed quickly expanded, retaking Gor Ault, then Rengo. At this time, Morgan was apointed Count of Rengo so that he could take care of its citizens.

In the past Morgan has made a few enemies, most notably the evil Jarbosh. But by all accounts, Jarbosh could not have survived their last encounter. There have, however, been several Jarbosh sightings. The first of which happened in Melhed during the monster invasion. And now, there has been a second sighting in Melhed, just after retaking Bil Havil.
