Realm Work
Well folks, things are getting back into shape. We have all banded together quite well these past few weeks. Our realms is back into the shape it was pre-rebllion. Thank you to all those who started it for bonding us all together. It had been a while since that had happened. But anyways, our taxes are rising and things are pulling together.

Also Poitiers has come under our control once again. In the suicide of Ragnell, the land has been handed over to Wenliang. He has shown he is an able troop leader the short time he has been here. We are glad to have this addition to the realm and are hoping it will be a great asset to us. It has recently been accepted into the Ducky of Kazakh in a small ceremony.

Folks getting anxious
Well there has been some question raised around here in the past weeks concerning the rulership of Old Rancagua. Thalanteus had promised after the rebllion that there would be fair elections that would ensue after Fuinur could return to the Monarchy. That time is nearing now with the rebellion being past for almost 21 days. There are currently four candidates that have stepped forward for the rulership of the realm: Fuinur, Dekion, Talius, and yours truly.

We here at the staff are hoping to get a brief statement from each of the cantidates that will be inserted into the paper. Look for the answers to come in this issue and its updates!

Old Rancagua Press/12th May 2006/Statments are released

Puzzle of the Issue
Here we are again folks. I am overjoyed to see that more people came out last issue and supported this. Remember to always put in your answer, it will gain you points in the standings! (Refer to the April 13th issue for indepth details)

The current standings are as follows:

  1. Fuinur: 3 points
  2. Atreus AND Sam: 2 points
  3. Ragnell: 1 point

The answer to the previous weeks puzzle was indeed: Sam. And here it is, the puzzle of the issue: "Some of the refugees from the Kalmar Islands were anxious to prove themselves to Old Rancagua. Palandro, Prometheus, Rats, and Cloud set off in search of adventure. During their travels two battled dragons, one battled a giant, and one had a confrontation with a sorcerer. Which knight has which adventure?

  1. If Cloud did not confront a sorcerer, then Palandro battled a dragon.
  2. If Palandro did not battle a giant, the Prometheus battled a giant.
  3. Rats confronted a sorcerer, if he did not battle a giant."
Fuinur to investigate
Former King Fuinur has announced that he will be off to the tournament in Light of Fountain. There may be more to join him soon, one does not know. There have been rumors filtering up here however that there is some imposter claiming to be Ragnell in Light of Fountain. Fuinur goes to investigate this claim and see to it that this imposter can no longer run around claiming to be our Queen.
Obituaries
The infiltrator Jacket is to be laid in the dust today in a large ceremony taking place in Kazakh. Carie, Jacket's close relative, was in charge of laying Jacket in the ground. The following was observed last night:

"Walking around, Kazakh, Carie made the last preparations for the Funeral. She didn't stay for long; most of her unit had done alot of the work. A small marquee was constructed outside the castle, to the right of the Marquee a church stood; surprisingly enough this was no normal funeral. The castles church was decorated in blacks, but no normal black, but a shiny, decorated black and silver decoration was left around the church. On the outside of the walls and more in particular, around the base of where Jacket was to be buried, there we're pinks, reds, blues and greens. One thing was certain, this was no, normal Funeral.

Carie though, didn't really blend in. As always she had quite a stubborn, cold-hearted expression on her face and those barely ever shifted except when she was on horse-back or another particular back, but let’s not get into that. It was certain, she was probably the most focused, determined and, stubborn member of the Tator family. And she wouldn’t change even if she was left abandoned on the moon. The marquee was beautifully set out; thankfully the food that Shina had ordered and sent for delivery had arrived, even without her. Carie was still fairly emotional but absolutely no one would know this as always she cut off all emotions and typically she thought to her self "the show must go on". But it didn't.

The one person Chloe appreciated more than anyone in Old Rancagua was Shina and perhaps Ebion even if he was blindingly direct and perhaps a little stupid but she liked him. Shina had definitely stuck her neck out to help Carie and regardless this Funeral would not start without her. It didn't look like anyone had yet arrived; or rather they we're perhaps waiting for Carie to publicly announce it? But regardless she was kind of glad no one had yet turned up. She sat down in the middle of the marquee next to the small hole that was lined with wood, coal and doused in fuels which was to be the BBQ and nodded to Thomas her scribe to begin writing.

"People of Old Rancagua. The funeral is being delayed once more, apologies but this Funeral will not go on without Shina. Till further notice, the Funeral will start tomorrow. If you wish to say by to Jacket, please do so tonight. His body has been enchanted and cleaned but I think the smell and the, erm, sight may disgust most if they see him tomorrow when the enchantment wears off. His body will be available to be seen, blessed, and said good buy too in the Church tonight. The Priest will be available at all times, if not another will take his place. Thank you"

And with that Carie stood up, kissed Thomas on the cheek and walked off. Thomas was completely stunned, looked something like a rabbit as a pack of grey-hounds chased it. He did have feelings for Carie, but Carie always confided into him but never him into her, but times will tell.

"Perhaps there is only one cardinal sin: impatience. Because of impatience we were driven out of Paradise, because of impatience we cannot return."
