Jarvin hails from the Abasnian Archipelago far to the south of the East Continent in the cool waters just above the Southern Arctic Sea. The family ruled over a meager collection of stony islands with poor soil and even poorer people. They lived well enough off the fur trade, but there was little room for a third son such as Jarvin. He set sail from his home with 21 men and landed in the East Continent in the realm of Greater Xavax. He immediately pledged his loyalty to Selenia JeVondair, First Xerarch of the Imperium. His original estate, Carelian Arms, was more productive than the entire realm he had left behind. However this good fortune turned sour shortly after his arrival, when the city of Xavax was attacked by the combined forces of Alara and Minas Nova.
