| Weary eyes have finally found land. The years of service as a legionairre in the Emperor's armies have left Maximilianus much more used to land rather than the sea. As Maximilianus steps on the grass surrounding Sudfern, he reminisces the events of late.
Parry, deflect, attack. These were the lessons he was thought to from as long as he can remember. A child of modest origins born with a natural skill for battle was quickly noticed by the Emperor's mentors and was then further steeled in the academies of Astora. What is Astora? A land whose existence is unheard of in these places. An island to the far far south where the Astoran Dynasty rules. Better said ruled for her existence is now but a distant memory. The Kraken woke up and sent his spawn on the island, shackling its soil and bringing it down to the ocean deep. What sad news for Maximilianus those were, for he has just been given the right to rule as a noble, and after many seasons spent in the neverending war against the Kraken the Emperor deemed it right to give Maximilianus the acknowledgment to become one of the highborn. Now it was all lost, and Maximilianus was granted the "award" to be one of the few that got away from Astora, embarking a small sea vessel and voyaging away from his homeland as far as he was able. Thus, he landed here, on this fertile southern land of the continent known as Atamara in the growing Kingdom of Suville. When one door shuts, the other one opens, they say. If Maximilianus can learn to let history be history and heal the wounds from within, a greater destiny and bright future awaits him. For now, he shall focus on things he's good at - parry, deflect, attack - but this time under the banner of Suville. | |
