Serria

Erik was waiting on the great stairs with a small cortege, observing the low waters of the Sirion River. The fishermen lamented, waiting for better times. Farmers lamented but a new flooding would leave the land fertile again and in Avamar the people remained happy with the markets working while the granaries still had some food protected by guards. In a moment he saw the boat come up, bringing his younger daughter from Al Amarah. The servants rushed to help land the young girl.

The Silver Dragon wore a ceremonial pardalide made of wolf skin over his shoulders and the light armor. Facing the little girl he should be huge, standing proud with a sword in his belt. With impressive statues of himself behind and a retinue of servants and priestesses. In the end, he smiled and leaned one hand on the sword's pommel, kneeling as the Cavalier he had been in the past.

Erik Eyolf: "Welcome to Avamar, little wing. Let me see you, young princess!"

He stand there with pride in his eyes while a priestess approached the girl, putting a klaft striped in white and red patterns on her head, adorning a silver crown with serpent head and ruby eyes. After that she showed a small golden box, a gift. Opening it she revealed the makeup she skillfully handled. The girl then had her upper eye-lids painted black with black kohl and the lower ones were colored green with a mixture of green malachite. Erik finally got up and grabbed his daughter's hand.

Erik Eyolf: "My young Serria, Goddess of the Sirion Delta. Do you like it? We have much to talk, my little one. Come with me..."

The Duke of Avamar then walked with his daughter along the temple corridors. Everything there was magnificent and it was precisely the impression he wanted to cause. The magical glimpse. However he couldn't save her from singing a silly song that some commoners used to sing.

Once there was this kid who

Got into an accident and couldn't come to the fields

But when he finally came back

His hair had turned from black into bright white

He said that it was from when

The carts had smashed him so hard

Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm

Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm

Once there was this girl who

Wouldn't go and swim with the girls in the river

But when they finally made her

They saw birthmarks all over her body

She couldn't quite explain it

They'd always just been there

Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm

Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm

But both the girl and boy were glad

'Cause one kid had it worse than that

'Cause then there was this boy whose

Parents made him come directly home right after the fields

And when they went to there temples

They shook and lurched all over the temple floor

He couldn't quite explain it

They'd always just gone there...
