Motosuwa Family/Claudius

It is not know what Claudius's original name was because he like so many other children took refuge in the Galadia orphanage after the combined forces of The Cagilan Empire and Tara marched into the region. During his stay at the orphanage he saw many of the other children being sold to Cagilan military recruiters, who would buy the children from the orphanages and ship them of to the empire for military training. Claudis himself would have been among these children if not for Shiro's intervention.

Documents show that while the region was under empire rule, he was the region lord for a short time. When word that the children were being sold reached his office he set forth to stop it. When he arrived at the nearest orphanage he confronted the recruiters, who were just about to ship Claudis off in a wagon. The confutation ended peacefully and the recuters left, but Shiro still feared that they may return to claim the boy so he decided to adopt him.
