Irdys listened to Xarnelf's words and inwardly seemed to find some peace again. A misunderstanding, that was all, it had been a misunderstanding. She should've realized. Birth and birthplace was everything to these nobles. For her it might've been a mere shack, of little importance and with little true bond to it. Home was were the heart was the peasants said... But for a noble birth and origin were what he was. How could a man or woman claim nobility if she could not even say from where she hailed, and were her family traced its lines of land, power, and the rights with it.
