Name: Ferminia Cerverai Struthionis

Patron Bird: Zapata Wren

Realm: Assassins

Description

Ren is a bit shorter than average, and her soft features couple with the fact to make her appear somewhat younger than she really is. Despite her feminine frame, however, she is a tomboy at heart, evinced by the messy, matted, and mussed up manner in which she keeps her golden brown hair, and the short length it is trimmed to.

Aggressive to the core and rarely sympathetic to the plights of others, Ren's ambition can lead her to recklessness, and her recklessness can lead her to neglect. She likes wearing her armor, even when it's not appropriate, and doesn't really have much of a sense of manners.

History

Like her brothers Aepyornis and Coturnix, Ren was born in the colonies, in the region of South Bakker. A fiery and independent youth, with only her brothers to keep her company, she took to more masculine traits and developed a promising flair for combat.

Unhappy with her given name as a child, she would insist on being called by her namesake's more common name. The following uproar within the family would have resulted in the child being cast from the home to fend for herself, had not the intervention of her brothers saved her from this fate.

Joining active service in the Assassins Guild with her brother Aepyornis, Ren would eventually join several nobles in departing from the Guild. She traveled to nearby Lukon to seek her fortune, but departed from the realm due to incompetence in Lukon's military and a general rejection of the ex-Guild members' presence by Lukonian nobles.

She traveled then to Giblot, taking time to observe their military and political structure before dedicating herself to service in a new realm again. What she saw, however, was a grossly inefficient and strict decision-making process in their democracy.

At long last she returned to the Guild, frustrated and unsatisfied.

Relationship with the Family

Ren's rejection of her given name has had repercussions all her life. She simplified the technical name and thereby insulted sacred family tradition - only by the quick minds and mouths of her two brothers did the young girl save herself from exile, but her reputation is still tarnished and garners no respect.

Multiplying this problem, Ren's departure from the Guild was taken as an abandonment of duty, and she is now considered completely barred from Struthionis grounds.
