Etymology
Élodie is a variant of the name Alodia, which is derived from proto-Germanic words meaning "other" and "wealth". Combined with the family name, it could be read as "bright foreign riches" which might speak to her parent's ambitions for her.
Background
Born the second daughter of the Ledoux family in 1002, and the third child after her older sister and brother, Aubin Ledoux. She had another younger sister.
Appearance
Portraits of her depict a severe young woman with dirty blonde hair. Her eyes eyes were a bright gold, and her hair was most often styled into two front braids ending in gold jewelry with sun designs with a black horn-like head ornament used to keep it in place.
