A young man much troubled by visions of three stars, and prophetic dreams, Mathurin was drawn westwards to Dwilight, where he discovered that the stars were real. Here he settled, in the fledgling nation of Morek, where others came who had also followed visions and dreams.
He founded a religion, Sanguis Astroism, based upon the three, blood-red stars that hang above the western horizon of Dwilight.
