==Purpose of the faith==

Vordulism is a theocratic religious church that worships the Eternal Emperor, known in the mortal realm as Xlair Silverblade. The church dedicates it's purpose to his ascendancy in strength in Beluaterra before his foretold ascendancy to godhood through heroic death. The sworn believe that the deities of Beluaterra were worshiped blindly by humanity. Previously told lies by other religion, faith was either used as a tool for mortal political devices or gave power to deities whom do not have humanities best interests.

The realisation dawned through the prophet Godfrey Greybrook in Iknopata that through the manifest destiny of Xlair Silverblade, it was time that humanity claimed back their own faith from the gods. Bearing the strength, suffering and pain of all of humanity, Xlair dares to challenge these deities and strives to complete his divine ascension to the beyond where he can fight on humanity’s behalf forever more.

Therefore, the goal of the faith is to unite humanity of the continent under one faith so that through their collective will, the Eternal Emperor shall once and for all remove all suffering from Beluaterra.

==In the beginning, there was blood==

Vordulism was created by the prophet Godfrey Greybrook in the region of Iknopata of [[Vordul Sanguinis]]. Nevertheless, the beginnings of Vordulism began earlier.

==Beliefs in regards to the Old Gods==

Known to some as the [[Old Gods/Gods|old gods]], Vordulism cites these deities as the true enemies of humanity, most notably the Dark Mistress, she who must be slain. It is said that she was once a skilled necromancer, providing skills and knowledge to all of humanity's ancestors. Yet, realizing her own humanity, she began to drain all blood and life from her victims to fuel her own life force but also to raise them as undead rogues to do her bidding. Upon her ascension and consequential death, she swore to destroy Beluaterra and humanity for taking her own life so easily and abusing the gifts she gave. Hence, she set upon Beluaterra the hordes of undead and has bound the other old gods to her evil quest. This is the enemy Xlair seeks to slay, claim and bring humanity's freedom. In order to do this, Vordulism seeks the worship of the whole of Beluaterra to give the Eternal Emperor the power he needs to defeat his enemy.

There are those who believe that the Crystal Maiden, the guardian of humanity, is imprisoned by the Dark Mistress whom must be freed.

Vordulism believes that the human aligned deities all have their own agendas and do not promote humanity’s greatest interest. The sacrifices that need to be made in blood are not recognised nor promoted.

The deities of Beluaterra are worshiped blindly by humanity, under the illusion that through hard work to their empty cause, our souls will be granted mercy in the afterlife.

Lies.

It was only through the Emperor that I realised there was an alternative. Humanity must take our faith and belief back into our hands.

Through our Eternal Emperor Xlair Silverblade, the man who has suffered for us and will continue to suffer until the fateful day where he shall heroically sacrifice his own life for all of us. When that fateful day comes, it comes down to his faithful and sworn’s belief that he shall truly ascend, achieve divinity and fight the true enemy, the deities behind the veil who see humanity as their playthings.

Therefore, in his lifetime, Vordulism will pursue the collective belief and work to give the Eternal Emperor the strength he needs to ascend, challenge the gods and save humanity from those whom harm us through their ignorance and wrath. Once he ascends, it is through our collective expansion of worship, sacrifice and suffering that our Eternal Emperor shall draw strength until the enemy has been vanquished.

Through joining Vordulism, one shall declare or renew their blood oath to our Emperor - the blood eternal. Blood is the life-source of power, life and binds humanity together. It is the holy communion that the Eternal Emperor believes that other deities cannot tamper with - the true sign of loyalty. Therefore, our struggle continues through our collective sacrifice in blood. To achieve our goals, humanity must transition from surviving to thriving. As installed in us by the Eternal Emperor, humanity must know pain and suffering before they can know true delight and pleasure of success.

Travel to the holy region of Iknopata to join the faith or instruct me to give you a private sermon.

I shall answer all questions in name of the Eternal Emperor.

All hail the Eternal Emperor.

Signed in Sacred Blood.

All know the Gods meddle in the lives of men, both great and small. Capricious and cruel, or Just and kind it matters not for most. Their fates are not their own. And so the story of Xlair Silverblade may have unfolded; sacrificed by his father to be a pawn of the Crystal Maiden the young man was marked as doomed by the terrible Armor of Arshava that cut and bled the man in eternal agony. But when great men are beset by the Gods they have options, they may be pawns. ~ But even pawns can cross the board.

Xlair Silverblade died so the Bloody Prince might stands among the Gods. He remains a champion of that cursed torturer, shackled yet though not for long. The Bloody Prince understands the importance of balance in all things. The Crystal Maiden seeks to consume all, to dethrone the other Gods and bring her Hierarchy of the Abyss to the world. This cannot come to pass. But so too must the Gods not cast down the Crystal Maiden for without her they will become idle and weak, prey for the Dragons.

In the quest to achieve balance in all things blood must be shed.

There will be suffering by some but the Bloody Prince will shoulder that burden. He will show the way.

The shackled champion of balance, the Bloody Prince seeks to break the grip of the Crystal Maiden and unseat the Dark Mistress as the arbiter of the dead. Through the remains of his once mortal form he instructs his acolytes with care, calling upon them to bring order to the chaotic, war to peace, wildness to cities and day to night.
