Haakon is a short and sturdy man, his eyes once innocent have grown cold and hard as ice. He has grown a full beard and lets his long blonde hair wave freely.

He has a taste for clean clothes, for reasons unknown but assumed related to his past. Rarely can he be found wearing a dirty and grimey armour.

His weapon of choice is a light battleaxe wielded in a single hand instead of the standard sword, while using a round metal shield for defense. He prefers to stand in front of his men in battle, to gain the pleasure of killing the enemies himself.

History

Haakon's father was a second son in the Klingenberg family who travelled further north from their home region of Dsinasas. Little known is known about Haakon's childhood, except that his parents spared little expense on giving him a good education.

He was strong in both body and mind, and regularly an intolerable bully. He showed little mercy as he picked on those weaker than himself. He was a warrior from the start.

Lasanar

After wandering as a knight without title or lands, Haakon swore an oath to Duke Driazt Burson of Colasan. During his time in the realm of Lasanar he came for the first time into contact with politics and immediately grew a dislike of them - and of the weakness he witnessed in the leaders of the realm.

The behaviour of those leaders lead to Haakon soon packing his things on the first ship to this New World he heard rumours of, to Dwilight.

Morek

On his arrival it took not long for one of the rural lords of the theocracy of Morek to recognise Haakon's use. It couldn't last forever though. Haakon's liege was lost during an expedition in the untamed lands of the Dwili. As the Lord Grandmaster saw the potential in the young knight, Haakon became the Viscount of Bohai at the early age of 19. He soon lead the rural lands of Bohai to a time of prosperity, with large harvests and rich knights.

Since the experiences in Lasanar tarnished his sense of honour, he values his oaths and the oaths given to him very strongly. To his knights he was a stern and strict, but also a caring liege, who took care of them during their times of need. This newfound responsibility lead Haakon to join the political council of Morek where he got acquainted with diplomacy and politics. For a long time, Haakon thought that these politics would mean his calling for the remainder of his life.

Crusader

Haakon after a long time spent in debauchery and luxury of the city Donghaiwei, the single most developed city of this New World, decided this life was not for him however. While the food trade made him a rich man, and the command of his region made him a valuable vassal, he decided it was time to rejoin the military.

Haakon's oath went to the Warders of the Temple. The religious army of Sanguis Astroism. He swore heavy oaths that he would protect the temples and priests of the faith at all cost. For the longest time his men and time were wasted on hunting down mindless beasts and monsters however.

It was during the declaration of independence of Virovene, the newest theocracy of Sanguis Astroism, that the warrior pride in Haakon rose once more.
