This ring was awarded by one of the earliest Dukes of Idapur to a captain of the guard for capturing a rogue infiltrator that had sought to take the Duke's life. The ring contains the symbol of the city of Idapur and thus gave prestige to the captain's family (OOC:+1 prestige to owner). There he hid it until the adventurer Lornak Dakka found the sage and agreed to provide him with the tools to purify the ring and in exchange was given ownership of the ring.
