Actually, the temple was damaged by looting it BEFORE the takeover, and not after; Amekal was using the faith to combat the kingdom, and so they put a dent in his efforts. Only lords can tear down temples in their realm's lands, and no lord can be appointed in Bolkenia because of the claim.
