Being the eldest member of the family, a lot was expected of Saul. Although he arrived on Dwilight only at a young age of 12 there was still a lot that was expected of him. Arriving at his Aunt and Uncles estate, the place he would call home for the next 5 years, they wasted no time in preparing him for the responsibilities and duties that were expected of a noble.

He was given a day to settle into the estate and learn his way around; the day after, his training began. To begin with he was instructed on etiquette, how to speak like a noble, walk like a noble and most importantly how to act like a noble. Following this, penmanship lessens were given, for although Saul had the ability to write reasonably well, his Aunt and Uncle thought it scribbles, no better than a noble aged 7 from one of the more, upstanding, noble families.

Within a week swordsmanship lessons begun, this was one thing that Saul was good at, for although his reading was a little slow, and his writing not very neat, he knew how to wield a weapon. Training in the yard became a daily occurrence for Saul, although it was not always with a sword that he practiced. Lances, maces, spears and bows all became a part of his sessions on top of the sword fighting.

This régime continued for a few years, and Saul saw a great improvement in his penmanship. On top of this, he was being given lessons in politics. It was important that he not only concerned himself with what was happening on the field, but also off it. For the honour of a noble may be made in the field of battle, only for it to be destroyed in the forums of the lords and ladies.

Knight of Nid Tek

As a young, and unknown noble, Saul first sought out the liege of his homelands, Nid Tek. At that time, the position was held by one Ramiel Avis. Seeking out the Lord, Saul offered his services and in response received an estate woth 20% of the tax income. Originally this allowed Saul to serve the in the army and keep a small unit of men that were well equipped and well trained. Saul began to send out feelers to the rest of the realm, got involved in discussions and made friends with Ramiel. Ramiel taught him many of the things he needed in order to become a well known, and respected noble; however Saul did not agree with it all.

When Poryatown was lost, and therefore the army disbanded, Saul was declared as the vice-marshal of the new army, whilst his Lord, Ramiel, the marshal. Working with the army and taking command Saul saw many victories against the abominations that threatened the realm.

Count of Ciarin Tut

Not long after being made the vice-marshal of the Crusaders of the Path, Saul was elevated to the ranks of a landed lord. Due to a royal decree by King Koli Bedwyr, a member of the realm council was not permitted to hold lands, and as such when Franz became the commander, Saul inherited the lands to keep.

It was during this time that Saul suddenly found himself in the middle of political intrigue and plots. Although he had never been bothered by them as a Knight, as vice-marshal and landed lord he found that he could not avoid them. During his time as Count of Ciarin Tut the succession of Poyratown, by Arbiter Malus Solari, took place, along with the attempted assassination of King Koli Bedwyr by Brom Silverfire and the promotion to Marshal of the Crusaders of the Path.

Whilst the King was wounded, unable to rule the realm Solaria declared war, along with their allies Luria Nova. As Marshal, the defence of the lands shouldn't have fallen solely to him, however it did. Multiple times Saul led the defence of Pian en Luries, but each time was defeated. Although the battles were lost, their armies inflicted the same casualties as they took.

A new Queen Regent was announced, Katerina Arundel, however this was a shortly lived reign as she then proceeded to take her life in order to satisfy the supposed blood debt that had been placed upon her head by the Arbiter of Solaria. It was in the next election that Saul choose to announce his candidacy as King of Pian en Luries.

King of Pian en Luries

Saul's candidacy announcement was simple. He told the remaining nobles of Pian en Luries that most of them knew what he stood for, and what he wanted. If they didn't they were free to ask and he would share them publicly, or privately. Three days passed and the announcement was made that Saul was the new King of Pian en Luries; winning the election 20 - 12.
