History (Being Written)

Origins

Saul Tarvitz was brought over to the continent of Dwilight from unknown origins; even he himself cannot remember the name of the place from which they came, only that they came to a place called Nid Tek. Upon first arriving in Nid Tek, his family gained an estate in Nid Tek and then soon after set off for the local blacksmith and stable master in order to commission weapons, armour and a horse for Saul. After procuring the relevant supplies and equipment, Saul set off from his estate towards the local lords manor; the manor of Count Ramiel. Arriving at the manor, Saul Tarvitz wasted no time in approaching Count Ramiel and swearing an oath of fealty to him in return for a percentage of the tax.

The Estate

Having recently had a lack of Knights, and with the civil war, the estate that Saul was granted within the lands of Nid Tek looked slightly in disrepair. Knowing this, Count Ramiel had provided Saul with enough gold to get the estate back into order and to enlarge as much as was allowed for a Knight. Calling his messenger to him, Saul sent him to the local town in order to hire builders, carpenters, potters and weavers so that his estate could be made to look fit for a Knight of Nid Tek.

Overseeing the reconstruction himself, Saul tailored the estate to his own personal taste; big tapestries, ornate pots, archways, ornate doors, carved stones and more. The estate was taking shape, and Saul had other things on his mind that now needed to be attended to. Calling his most trusted personal servant, Saul handed him the remaining designs for the estate

Roleplay
As you ride up towards the large estate, a wooden wall rises up out of the distance; the northern wall of the estate. Along the path, square wooden poles, regularly apart, are set ablaze, constantly burning, like torches. As you get closer, you can see a pair of gates on the wall; two men with spears stand in front of each door, spears held upright with banners flying in the wind. The banner flying from the top of the spear denotes them as men belonging to Saul Tarvitz, the lord of this estate.

Noticing your approach, and the obvious nobility that you have, one of the men shouts something, and both of them stand aside as the gate swings inwards, revealing a courtyard. As you enter the courtyard, a stable hand approaches you, waiting for your horse to be handed to him. Looking around you can see that the stable is up against the western wall of the estate; a Knightly horse is seen to, being groomed by the head groom. Part of the courtyard looks like it has been used as a drill site, hoof prints and shuffled sand give away that the drill site was recently in use.

The estate itself stands in front of you, stone walled about half way up, with the reswt being made of wood, it looks like a peaceful and serene retreat fromthe maddness of the world outside. Approaching the door, no one comes to stop you, yet no one comes to open it for you; presuming that your herald would have already announced you. As you get close, the door opens inwards for you, and a man stands there, dressed in smart appearance.

"My Lord/Lady", he says, bowing to you deeply, "Sir Tarvitz is currently away on business for the realm, is there anything I may do for you?", he awaits your response.

Recently, Saul has been involved in the proceedings, and planning, of the realm and getting involved in the politics.

Coat of Arms

Saul CoA.png

Saul's coat of arms only differs from the family coat of arms in the top right hand section of it. Over the top of the Stable Cheveon is crossed Sword and Lance; the lance represents that Saul belongs to the order of the cavaliers, the sword represents justice, which Saul strives for above all else, in addition to military honour. The image over them top of them is a label, and is used to show that Saul is the first born son of the Tarvitz household, just as his brother is denoted as the second son.
