Special Contributions February 25, 2007 Tournament Over! The tournament in Semall is over. 157 troop leaders from 12 realms fought and drank. There was a swordfighting and a jousting contest. Sir Olorin (Knight of Itorunt, Itorunt) won the swordfighting tournament (Tommy, Count of Jariedma came second place). The jousting contest was won by sinted, Duke of Ibladesh (Second place: Niels (Knight of Aix, Perdan)). -Gale ThunderSpear February 24, 2007 An Election Frenzy! In the past several weeks, there have been election after election after Lord Tempest abdicated from his office. The first general election ended up with lord Tempest again gaining the most votes, so he decided to step down from the position. The nobles of Light of Fountain took another vote, this time, in the favour of Lady Elaira with 36.8% of the votes. The very next day, however, lady Elaira stepped down from the office. It seemed that holding three positions at once (Marchioness, Fudiciary, and Paladin Primus) was too great a burden, and so the nobles of Light of Fountain again cast their votes for the new General. In the end, the new General was chosen to be lord zedd, congratulations! Amongst these elections, two new positions have also been appointed. Recently, lord Hannibal stepped down from his position as duke of Akesh Temples because his duty as duke has prevented him from performing the full responsibilities of being Avatar and priest of Light of Fountain. Therefore, lord Hannibal asked lord Lycastus to appoint sir Reginald to be the new duke of Akesh. Again, I would like to give my best wishes to the new lord! The second position is that of Marshall of the Shield of Light. When lord Tempest stepped down from his position as Paladin Primus, he also stepped down from his marshall position. I am very grateful for lord Hannibal's decision to appoint me to the post and I hope that I will live up to the standards of the people of this realm! -Gale ThunderSpear February 2, 2007 New Fudiciary! Recently, lord Jerix, our old fudiciary abdicated from his office because he has been very busy with personal matters, therefore a new election was held to elect a new fudiciary. Today, the results of the election came in, with lady Elaira taking the office with an astounding 62% of the votes! Congratulations! -Gale ThunderSpear February 2, 2007 Tournament Over! The tournament held in Castle Ubent is over! Lothar, Baron of Eldoret won the swordfighting tournament and Law, Imperial Knight of Ubent, came second place, they are both nobles of Ubent. The jousting contest was won by Niels ,Knight of Aix, Perdan and second place was stolen by Screndt, Duke of Aix both of Perdan. -Gale ThunderSpear February 1, 2007 We're Back! Due to the recent friction with Fontan and undead and monster hordes popping up everywhere, none of our editors can find the time to do any editing. Daily News February 25, 2007 Region Revolts! The people of Wasteland have revolted and declared independence from Perdan! February 23, 2007 Battle in Sordidus! This little group of monster that have been pillaging in the region of Sordidus are soundly defeated in a battle against the militia of the region and a couple of the knights of Light of Fountain. February 22, 2007 Monsters! Monsters have been seen in the region of Sordidus. The local population is requesting help and fears that the monsters will eat their food and destroy their houses. February 21, 2007 Battle in An Najaf! Today, the army arrived in An Najaf to battle the undead horde. This horde is much larger than the one rampaging Akesh, but they are still no match at all for the army of Light of Fountain! February 20, 2007 Undead! Panic is spreading in An Najaf after peasants spread rumours of an undead horde. The peasants are living in fear and barely dare to leave their homes. February 19, 2007 Public Execution! Messengers bring news of a public execution in Ashforth earlier today. Bladesinger, a troop leader of Avamar Selective, had been banned from Old Rancagua as a traitor on 2007-01-14. When he was later imprisoned, the judge of Old Rancagua decided to make him pay for his treason. February 18, 2007 Region Takeover! Perdan has taken control of Wasteland (formerly part of Kalmar Islands). Perdan now controls 12 regions. February 16, 2007 Tournament Announced! Sir Lucian, King of Itorunt, Marshal of the Imperial Army has announced a tournament of Joust and Swordfight to be held in Semall 9 days from now. There will be a charge of 20 gold for every participant. The winner will be rewarded with 1000 gold in addition to the honour and prestige that his victory will earn him. There will also be a reward of 400 gold for the second best. All nobles of the continent are welcome on the tournament grounds on the day of this event. Make sure you announce your participation in time! February 16, 2007 Region Takeover! Old Rancagua has taken control of Kalmar (formerly part of Avamar Selective). Old Rancagua now controls 19 regions. February 16, 2007 Battle in Akesh Temple! The army has finally arrived to rid Akesh of its undead infection! After a swift battle, the undead horde was totally destroyed! February 16, 2007 Festival! To keep the peasants from the panic and to celebrate Lord Hannibal's dedicate to the region for all these years, there is a large festival held in Akesh Temples today! February 15, 2007 Undead! The realm of Kalmar Islands has elected Lalakis as its new Chancellor. He received 29 % of the valid votes. February 12, 2007 Region Takeover! Old Rancagua has taken control of Stora , a former rogue region. Old Rancagua now controls 17 regions. February 9, 2007 An alliance was forged! The realms of Caligus and Ibladesh have joined into an alliance. February 9, 2007 Undead! Panic is spreading in Braga after peasants spread rumours of an undead horde. February 6, 2007 Region Revolt! The people of Lundel have revolted and declared independence from Perdan! February 5, 2007 Huge Battle Fought! Another couple of large battles fought at Chaos Temple today. The first battle was won by the defenders despite facing innumerable odds (Estimated combat strengths: 25000 CS vs. 15000 CS) while the second was won by the attackers. (Estimated combat strengths: 11000 CS vs. 5000 CS) These battles indeed show the determination of the Islanders to fight for their freedom! February 4, 2007 Huge Battle Fought! A huge battle has been fought at Chaos Temple on the Kalmar Islands today. It was the armies of Itorunt and Perdan against the Kalmar and Avamar defenders; the attackers have been defeated. (Estimated combat strengths: 7000 CS vs. 14000 CS) February 3, 2007 Palace constructed! Lycastus, Pontifex of Light of Fountain, Duke of Fontan has ordered a new palace to be built in the capital. The peasants are awed, and there is a small rise in loyality throughout the realm.. February 3, 2007 Public Execution! The dishonourable Sydney Carton of Avamar Selective was publicly tortured to death in Ashforth earlier today. February 1, 2007 Battle in Viseu! There has been a battle in Viseu when monsters tried to loot the region. There has been some minor damage done to the infrastructure, but the monsters have been soundly wiped out. February 1, 2007 Battle in An Najaf! There has been a skirmish in An Najaf when monsters foolishly decided to raid the region. The monsters have been largely wiped out, but there are still some left in the region. February 1, 2007 Monthly election results have come in: The realm of Sirion has reconfirmed Handow as its Prime Minister, he received 51% of the votes. The realm of Fontan has reconfirmed Gregor as its Chancellor, he received 63% of the votes. The realm of Ubent has elected Vapor as its new Prime Minister, he received 29% of the votes. The realm of Kalmar Islands has elected Kolya as its new Chancellor, he received 68% of the votes.
