− | The | + | The Northern Alliance has already conquered the northern half of the Continent and keeps expanding, while the Southern Alliance still struggles to dominate in the southern half with their only obstacle being the once mighty Kingdom of Perdan. The two Alliances of the Superpowers, as I like to refer to them, have decided to split East Continent in two parts and each side claim their shares by grabbing the land, while leaving everyone else in ignorance and full of questions. A reasonable question from all these would be: where is the Middle in all these? |
<br><br> | <br><br> | ||
It is fact that the Middle is at great disarray at the moment and that the realms belonging to this fraction are acting individually without any coherent plan on matters where common policy is advised. The Northern and the Southern Alliances are taking advantage of the middle realms' idleness and lack of organization and they are exploiting the opportunity that is given to them as a result of the mentioned situation. As long as that the situation remains as it is, there is no way of the sleeping beauty awakening and thus no fears of unification and cooperation of the middle realms (Middle Alliance). Both of the existing Alliances are well aware of the fact that if a third Alliance would be formed, then they would have a very difficult time to fulfill their dreams, since the crippled realms that they are currently directly or indirectly fighting against, would be transformed to a very considerable enemy that might balance things around and bring the upside down. | It is fact that the Middle is at great disarray at the moment and that the realms belonging to this fraction are acting individually without any coherent plan on matters where common policy is advised. + | At the first week of December, forces of the Axis, attacked the Allies of the Islands. The second and third most powerful in military terms realms (Sirion and Fontan), joined the 5th stronger (Old Rancagua) which was unable to supress the valliant Islanders, although her army alone is twice the strength of the Allied defenders! As this wasn't enough their pleas to Perdan continues for an intervention. Will Perdan join the Axis in this conflict, smelling the potential death of an easy prey?
+ | <br><br> | ||
+ | Despite the vast differences between the strength of the Axis and the Allies, the Islanders defended bravely their homes and inflicted tremendous casualties to the invaders. 45000 CS of the Axis was wasted while the Allies lost about 20000 CS. It will take ages for their armies to recover as the body count will be continued for long and the battles will be fought in every street of Kalmar City.
+ | <br><br> | ||
+ | The Citizens of the Islands are terrorized, as it is well known that the Axis shows no mercy to the defeated opponents. The realms of Eleador, Avamar, Rancagua and Oligarch, all destroyed exactly in the same way by the Axis, indicate that nothing will stop or restraint the invaders until all locals have been exterminated. Regular looting by Sirion forces also contributes to the general feeling of fear.
+ | <br><br> | ||
+ | This fear however, has multiplied the efforts of the Allies. As they know that they can't expect mercy from the brutal invaders, they are obliged to fight until the last man. And as it seems this war will last for long. Old Rancagua lacks the army to take over the Island, while Sirion and Fontan have already begun their travel back to their filthy holes.
+ | <br><br> | ||
+ | Simultaneously a rebellion sparked in Old Rancagua but unfortunately with an insignificant impact to the war front. The rebels were soon wiped out. The shock came later though, as it was revealed that the rebels were planning a triple rebellion in Kalmar Islands and Avamar Selective as well. The Gods interfered once again and cleaned the Islands from the future rebels as they were using methods not accepted by the Deities of the World.
+ | <br><br> | ||
+ | What remains to be seen now is if the rumours about another rebellion in Kalmar Islands and in Sirion by different rebel factions are true.

As every Citizen of EC is aware by now, the Triple Alliance that tortured the East Continent so much in the past, was reborn, partially because of boredom, partially because of the incompetency of Old Rancagua to win her war alone.

News From the Front Line |
City of Kalmar, end November
Our journalist met General Amraedil outside the Military Quarters in the City of Kalmar. Always in his pink tights and wearing a -still blood-stained- yellow silken shirt with batwing sleeves, he kindly agreed to interrupt the training of his men and be interviewed for Avamar Times.
