Perhaps a horseman who led his cavalry into battle to repeatedly repel marauding Vikings each time they ventured from the East as far as Saradic, Dondor or Amdor. That would make it special to the plains. Some say the man commanded a hundred cavalry and hailed from Melias but he wasn't a noble and stories do get exaggerated. The story is from hundreds of years ago, so you can pick any name you like. Some say he will rise again to defend the plains from plundering Vikings should the need arise.
